  1. Its fine. You can do all of what you listed above with a 7800x3D just fine as well, and get better gaming performance. Final rendering will be slower, but overall depending on the amount of content you need to edit it wont matter much. 7900x isnt bad, its just the middle of the pack choice, and its price is what dictates whether or not its a good choice.
  2. Do you have multiple monitors? Zerofan spin only works with usually with one monitor, if there are more then one, the fans spin at a minimum. My gpu is 1000 rpm at its minimum with 3 monitors.
  3. Launchers make much less sense now on brand new phones. They make way more sense on older phones. More then likely you will be locked out of samsung AI stuff since they have been locking that stuff down more.
  4. Why not? Because if it uses more electricity then it actually makes money, its burning money rather then making you money. Unless you have a pretty beastly solar array or something like that, it makes absolutely 0 sense. Since most of them got nerfed, its not profitable afaik i mean if money isnt an issue, then id say get a 7950x or 7800x3D. Get the absolute best system you can to pair with a 4090. Or wait a bit for the 9000 series cpus to launch.
  5. Mining is not much of a thing anymore, and neither is overclocking, very few 5000 cpus make it to be fully stable without having issues or dying. 5800x3D there pretty much isnt any wiggle room. What work do you do? Because that will decide what cpu to get. Gaming, 5800x3D (or if you want to save a bit 5700x3D) hands down crushes anything on AM4.
  6. Simply not the case with quite a few people sadly. If you get it to work fine, thats great Been one of the biggest pain in the ass CPUS to help fix for. What works for one MOBO and cpu does not work for another with these varied stutter issues.
  7. This is quite a well known issue with 7950x3D and why its a pretty terrible idea to buy one. You pretty much cannot fix the stutter issue, You can lessen it a bit but due to the nature of the multi CCD issue, you either have to disable cores and hope it works (ive had varied results from this from about 8 different people) and when you need to do production work just turn all cores back on in bios, or see. Was this a completely clean install of windows 11 from an up to date version? 7950x3D requires that. In your post it says a fresh windows install, so id hope you would have used a more recent ISO for it.
  8. Just make sure you have a realistic talk with them about how much of a horrible idea it is to get into streaming. Build a machine to game with to play with friends, if they are just starting out, streaming is just not worth it at this point unless they know other streamers. RAM you need 32 GB at minimum for streaming to go smoothly. Id honestly look at getting a used GPU, like a 3080 or 3070ti. 4070 for 550$ is still pretty rough. Do keep in mind the 9000 series of AMD Cpus will be announced soon, so potentially discounts will be had for the 7000 series Or if they have a microcenter near them. Other then that, unless they want to go the pre-built route its mostly about finding good deals. https://slickdeals.net/f/17378550-abs-cyclone-aqua-gaming-pc-intel-i5-13400f-geforce-rtx-4060-ti-32gb-ddr4-1tb-ssd-930-free-shipping?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1
  9. I see no reason to upgrade to windows 11 as it still has not been shown to why they couldnt just have updated w10 with the features. W11 is still pretty much only for intel cpus 12th gen+ and ryzen 7900x3D/7950x3D (even though nobody should ever buy the multi ccd xX3D chips atm). Everyone else w10 is fine. Plus with how much worse they are making windows 11 adware and removing features, im okay with 10. Hell id honestly go back to windows 7 if the hardware properly functioned.
  10. Spoken like as true failure. Its been over a decade since they made a relevant game, and they have still yet to release a game without needing critical bug fixes within the first 3 months. all with him at the lead. War never changes, and neither does Todd Howard lack of ability to make a functional and good game.
  11. For what exactly? Just saying what you said above means absolutely nothing and does nothing to help you. Is it for Gaming? Is it for color accurate work? Do you actually have any idea what Nits are and how they function or are you just reading spec sheets and youtube videos that say it. 500+ nits means very little as that isnt an accurate way of measuring stuff. For instance some Oled monitors hit 1000 Nits peak, but on a full screen window its about 250 nits.
  12. 7900x3D and the 7950x3D are just not worth buying at all, the buggy CCD switching is STILL an issue. If it was just a minor issue i would be fine with it, but its STILL causing serious issues with people that i know that have them. The stutters and programs having issues still with selecting the right CCD. Pretty baffled on how they still havent fixed them yet, if it is even fixable. And the ANTonline one i know had some pretty bad CS issues, especially regarding faulty products. Newegg has had its issues with CS, and i still refuse to ever recommend someone buy used hardware from newegg lol
  13. Still not worth buying 7800x3d Better then this, and the 7900x is better for productivity and you dont have to deal with buggy software. Also ANTonline has a pretty meh reputation.
  14. Friend has to stop using phrases and words like that, especially on that budget. You arent going to get any "future proofing" on a 900$ build, you are going to get a PC that does what you need it to and thats it. Will it enable them to upgrade down the line? Sure, but thats not what future proofing means. I would look at used GPUS rather then buying a 6600, its not a good GPU at all. You do not need Gen4/5 SSD. They are pretty pointless for gaming, Direct storage still has not shown to be worth it on PC. Dram id get CL 30 6000, it shouldnt be much more.
  15. Its kind of pointless. This practice only works if the subject matter requires it. This doesnt require them to comment on it. What would be the point of getting the comment of these type of people? Clearly they are scummy people, they do not need to allowed to speak on the matter when it comes to this video as its a "Heres all the info we have on it". If they want to talk about all the shady stuff they have been doing, they can do it on their own time. Its not a court hearing, nor is it a threat to someones life. Its just showing how just a few people in their management can cause such a huge shitshow. Theyve already tried to hide behind "Old ceo is Back!" and that didnt go well. This almost always ends up with a "No comment", a scapegoat entity, or or attempting to suppress the story via threatening lawsuit etc.
  16. Did you not just type Star wars Clash of clans? Seems like a pretty huge oversight. If you meant star wars commander, from a google search it died in 2020.
  17. Not really no. It would require a full cleaning and repasting, and it may run into quite a few issues being the 12 year old GPU that it is. For Web browsing, you would just need a IGPU with a decent up to date cpu. But for workstation stuff? No, its not going to be supported well at all by most modern software.
  18. MSI AMD GPUS simply dont sell well. They had a pretty bad history of bad coolers on their AMD cards, often times causing issues. That reputation pretty much killed their GPU brand for AMD. Now pretty much the only GPUS i ever see recommended for AMD is Saphire and XFX. Other things behind the scenes as well, look at the MSI Claw, their AMD laptops going away etc.
  19. Terabyte vs tibibytes. Thats whats happening here.
  20. Its REALLY not worth it at 100$. If it was 20$, maybe. Its not even close to being worth it at 100$, save the money for the new build.
  21. Yeah they wont reduce your thermals on a 13900k/14900k by all that much. A 360 AIO vs a full Custom loop, its only a few degrees with that type of cpu. The block/Direct die impacts performance way more at that point since going from a 360MM rad to a multi 420 isnt going to impact it all that much. What it will do is give you a bit more wiggle room for fan speeds, but again when you put it under a full load that spikes those temps up, there really isnt much of a non LN2 cooling solution that tames those thermals. Tuning the voltage gives you a massive thermal change. In terms of what you can do for order, I generally do Front and top intake, back exhaust. The thermals inside wont really be affected as long as there is not a dead zone. Generally id say stick to one big rad, gives you room for if you want to do a 5080/5090, but if they are anything like the 4000 series, they wont need to be watercooled.
  22. What rumors? 5800x3D is a massive upgrade for you, 7800x3D Even more of a massive upgrade. Of course 9800x3D will be even more of an upgrade, but at what point do you want to buy it? With a 3600, you didnt really specify a budget, and if you are planning on selling it for 150 euro, i dont think youd be on the high end of that market. Also what GPU will you be using? Doesnt really make sense to buy a 9800x3D if you pair it with a sub par GPU. Its gonna be a bump rather thena jump in performance. For now id wait to see, since its only going to be a few months.
  23. A company overcharging for their parts and having their quality drop significantly in the past 4 years is struggling to do basic business things? Say it aint so! Hopefully people start learning more of these companies are scummy. It will be interesting to see how the EKWB fanboys that try to defend them on this.
  24. Depends on the games. If you play most FPS, G-Sync is absolutely worthless, turn it off. Adjust the ingame settings to the best you can to get to 240fps.
  25. Are you sure about that? Since HDMI 2.0 is limited to 144hz. If that laptop has HDMI 2.1 then its technically possible but even then they tend to be just limited to 144hz. Are you sure they arent using a USB -C Port?
