  1. How much LTT swag is left over? Will it be for sale anywhere?
  2. I checked newegg and it looks like amd has an athlon X4 880k. Not sure if it comes with the new wraith cooler but seems to be the best fm2+ without integrated graphics. It was $96 i think so if that's within budget it would seemingly be the highest performance. The 860 was about $20 cheaper and there is an 870 in between. Hope this helps. I personally am waiting for zen instead of getting an fx 8350 to put in my old am3+ board.
  3. A lot of TL:DR but after getting through what i have i do agree that until it actually releases you cant know if it will actually be good. Ive been following all the leaks and trying to find out as much as i can on its performance because i want it to be good. I am a bit of an amd fanboy but i fully understand that they arent the performance king. Very well aware that they havent released anything close to intels cpus in years. I want this to be their big comeback and have the PC gaming community start being able to actually discuss some decent pros and cons of the two platforms instead of flame war and the obvious difference in price per performance. I saw a leak that the chip compared against the 6900k is only $500ish and their 4 core 8 thread is $150ish which would be great for the community, having some less expensive offerings that can start to compete with intel again. Of course early leaks arent concrete but i makes me hopeful that they will be somewhat comparable to the intel offerings by core and thread.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I understand the whole licensing thing. Glad to see floatplane is going, seemingly, very well. Stream was a bit slowish yesterday but i hear theres some kind of bug or hardware thing with that and its to be expected when building a new platform from the ground up. Thank you for the continuing great content and privilege to see it early. THANKS! This works perfect.
  5. Was on vessel for a long time and joined the floatplane day one or two. Loving the service and it keeps getting better. Can we get a higher resolution image of the floatplane logo? Wanted to use it as a wallpaper if it wouldnt be too much trouble. I recently bought an Asus vn248h and moving from 1360x768 to 1080 made my previous login page look awfully stretched and skewed. Spoiler for inappropriate language. (actually went back and reread the forum guidelines to see if swearing was expressly mentioned. I loved Pulp Fiction and have had this for years as my login screen, sorry)
  6. @nicklmg Thanks. Always funny seeing Luke or Linus raging about something.
  7. Enjoyed the video and for people with the money these would be great to have. I would not have been one of the people who would have had this stuff. Which video was the clip of luke, throwing what looked like earbuds and then stomping them, from? I scrolled through the LTT youtube channel upload list and couldnt seem to find where it came from?
  8. Rig name: my computer? CPU: FX-8150 OC'd to 4.3ghz GPU: ASUS Strix R9-380X Ram: 2x8GB ram Frames below 90pfs was 0 and so was Frames cpu bound. I plan on upgrading my cpu before getting a vr headset but am waiting to see how the AMD Zen chips turn out.
