motomoto11's Achievements

  1. I've been into vinyl since I was a little kid. My dad is big into vinyl and about a year ago I acquired about 100 records from him. My setup: Receiver: Yamaha RX-V690 Turntable : Denon DP-35F (with a Ortofon OM5E Cartridge) Speakers: 2 Polk Audio RT3 2 Way Bookshelf Speakers Subwoofer : Polk Audio PSW505 Last 3 pickups: Frank Zappa : Bongo Fury Pink Floyd : Animals Spooky Black : Leaving
  2. It's honestly the only place I know of, and it's located somewhere in Texas.
  3. V1ech. Website here : http://www.v1tech.com/ I sent in my cooler master haf x panel in to get a custom etched plexi glass side. Prices were, okay.
  4. Comparing the 600 series to the 900 series, much has changed. I really do like the new cards, specially the AMP! Extreme. The design is very nice. Voltage wise, heat output, performance, it's all very nice. Great Success.
  5. I think I discovered you guys about 3 years ago. I was building my first PC, and really wanted to know what parts to get, and how to build it. You guys had all the videos that I needed. I watched you on NCIX also. I shall say this, the channel has only gotten better. It was great at the start, with Linus unboxing cases outside of Intel, and doing benchmarks in the room full of computer parts at I believe NCIX.
  6. I came up with an idea I want to do with my computer. I have been looking for cheap upgrades and cheap projects to do, and I came up with the idea to put car gauges into a bay cover I have on my computer. I want to start off with putting voltage gauges http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Auto-Meter-8-to-18-Volt-red-pointer-American-Muscle-voltmeter-gauge/_/N-25l7?itemIdentifier=966745_0_0_ into the computer. I think I would hook them up to the fans using either the molex connector or 3 pin fan connector. Molex provides more power, hitting 12 volts or so. I'll think about how I want to do the volt gauge, but if anyone has an idea for the volt gauge, let me know. I also wanted to put a temperature gauge in, but I think I would have to just go fully digital with it. I really like the old school gauges, but the way they work won't work for the build, unless I were to do witch craft. Another idea the came up was to have a RPM gauge somehow be connected to the processor speed. This would have to be done though software, but it would be awesome. I have a h100i, and my thought on it was that if I connect the RPM gauge to one of the fan connectors on the h100i, and just have it be ran off that, maybe it could work for just how fast the fans were spinning. If anyone has done something like this, and has some tips and tricks, I would greatly appreciate it if you helped me out. Thanks!
  7. I fixed it. I shut down both hard drives and let the SSD just boot up, and found out the problem was on the SSD. So I just uninstalled most of the programs on that SSD, and it works like new again. Not sure what caused it, but I want to say it Nvidia GeForce Experience. The program started to give me network connection issues awhile ago, should of payed more attention to that.
  8. I should of mentioned I run Windows 7. I see the link talked about TRIM. I ran the Samsung Magician software again and did the Performance Optimization. I ran another benchmark test and the scores were better than before. I'll see how it works out next restart.
  9. I can't seem to solve the problem, so i'll just ask you all and see what I get from this. Lately when I start my computer it will turn on, go though POST, start up windows, and when it gets to the desktop, it looks as if it gets stuck on some applications. I know it gets stuck because it takes a minute for it to load up everything else (display fusion, skype, etc.) It also gets stuck on finding a network, and after awhile everything will load up rather fast all together. I ran a few tests on my SSD and HDD speeds, and i'm not sure if the SSD performance is just a bit weak in spots because it is close to 2 years old. The one hard drive that the other applications are on, seems to be working ok. It's about 3 years old. (SSD/HDD Below) Benchmarking tool: AS SSD Benchmark SSD: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128gb ((ORIGINAL Speeds Seq: Read:530MBps Write: 390MBps)) ((As of today Read: 496.44 MBps Write: 175.66 MBps)) HDD1: 2.5" WD Scorpio Black 750GB 7200RPM ((ORIGINAL Speeds: Can't find original speed for it) ((As of today Seq Read: 109.52 MBps Write: 110.11 MBps HDD2: 3.5" Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2TB 7200 RPM ((ORIGINAL Speeds: Website says Read/write 156MB/s) ((As of today: Read: 121.89MBps Write: 98.13MBps)) Most of my programs that I believe are loading at the time of the freeze is all on the WD drive (HDD1). The SSD is a bit slower then the original speeds, but I was told that is normal after awhile. I have done disk cleaner, and disk defragmentation on both drives, not the SSD. If it's a program thing, I guess I could uninstall the programs and see if it fixes the problem. I just want to know if anyone has any tips. EDIT: Samsung Magician told me that my read and write speeds are better then what AS SSD told me. SSD: Read: 532mbps Write: 316mbps
  10. Does anyone know of a kit where you can make your own motherboard. Nothing special, I just want to make something where I can solder bunch of things together and get it to work.
  11. Hmmm, I may make a list of what I need for something like that.
  12. That could be possible...I would need a huge book for that. Also, the motherboard has integrated graphics. ATI HD 3000. shizzzy, yes. But, it works.
  13. For my IT class that I am in, we are going to be starting a case project. The project is pretty much making your own custom case, and putting a fully functional computer inside of it. I just need help on what I should make this case out of. Some old builds used old radios, old wooden boxes, and old chests. Some people talked about making one out of a toilet. I'm wondering if anyone has any good ideas that come to mind. I have a budget at TOPS of $60 for the case(whatever it is). The computer supplies I already have. If the idea you have is rather big, I can always get ribbon cables and cable extensions for the hardware. The only idea I have so far is to make it out of a old bass drum, or a old suit case. Thanks, and hope to see some cool ideas! ***Edit*** -motherboard: ASUS m5a97 LE- ATX board -power supply: Rosewill CAPSTONE-650. -gpu: none(on board graphics) -ram: g.skill 8gb 1866 cpu: AMD FX-8350 cooler: amd stock cooler harddrive: WD 1tb 7200rpm 3.5in drive. ------------------------------ extra stuff: front panel fan controller :
  14. He should make his own sandals and socks. Nice T-Shirts though.
  15. So, i have peerblock running. I never really have it on...but, i keep getting a mother load of shiz from the source DINSA. now, NSA is in that. I'm not the biggest nerd on network stuff yet, but...what does this mean?
