I've created this discussion to ask the community on everyone's general thoughts on whether the moment we are in now is the best for doing modifications to our current PC builds, or to build awesome new ones from scratch.
Considering it has been a few months since the release of the GTX 10' series and RX 480, most 3rd party cards are beginning to fall in price as stocks rise. Also, with skylake processors now maturing to a large enough market where they fit almost anyone fairly avid gamers price range, they are almost a no brainer. Furthermore, the pricing of DDR4 memory has significantly fallen in the past year, now to the same as DDR3 was a year ago.
So, the question is, is this the best time ever to get the best performance per dollar on your PC build?
