I don't think you understood what I said, though if talking reference in regards to sound, there is none. Reference is a made-up shenanigans thanks to John Grado via marketing. Kind of like "gaming headset", "gaming keyboard", etc. etc. marketing trickery to fool the uneducated.

For gaming the Cloud or Cloud Core would be my choice, unless USB is important to you. DT770 vs Cloud for gaming sessions, stick to the HyperX Cloud... The DT770 is NOT what you want, especially when the M50X is on your choice list. That said, the M50X is terrible value, as is pretty much any M-series from AT unless you are buying for specific reference purpose, but for gaming the absolute lack of soundstage kills the entire M-line from being worthwhile for anything other than to just say "Yea I saw someone on a stream use them and he raves about them so I got them." If you DO want bass like the 770's would offer, take a look at V-Moda M-100, of which you can get the BoomPro mic direct from V-Moda. But, since you are already looking at the Clouds, I think you'd be fine with the Cloud lineup. Oh, and stock for stock without changing pads, the Clouds are 100x more comfortable than the M50X, especially for prolonged use.

V-Moda M-100 + V-Moda Boompro = quality headset. Beyerdynamic DT990 + Modmic/Minimic = quality headset, Sennheiser HD558/598 + Modmic/Minimic = quality headset, and it just goes on and on like this with a huge range of options as far as headphones are concerned. If you aren't able to hear footsteps with a good pair of headphones over a cheap headset, perhaps look at EQ settings if comparing to a USB headset. The V-Moda M-100 is my go-to workout/outdoor headphones, but the Boompro mic connection allows me to use on Xbone to talk with friends, then of course DT990 Premium with Modmic is my regular gaming set for pc. Just an FYI on the M-100 at least from V-Moda, they work extremely well, just keep in mind they ARE quite bass heavy, so if heavy bass is not your thing you may not want like the M-100 or it's wireless counterpart.

To get the most out of, the 558 hands down. The 612 would offer better imaging, but aside from that, similar to the 702,. they require amping to bring out their full potential, whereas the 558 does not, or at least not to the same extent I should say.

Why waste money on a "gaming" chair, just get a good quality chair. One option on the cheap is MadisonSeating, I purchased my Steelcase Leap V2 from there for about $600 cheaper than buying brand new from Amazon or Steelcase directly. It's been fantastic for 4 years without issue and MadisonSeating offers 10year warranty as well. Now, keep in mind, I believe MadisonSeating gets refurbs that have been fixed with whatever issue they had for return, cheap and direct from the companies and resells them. That said, mine has gone 4years now without issue and is far FAR more comfortable than ANY gaming themed chair you will ever find. Looking at MadisonSeating right now one can be had for $349, or you could look at the Herman Miller Aeron for under $500 which is also a great chair. When talking Steelcase and Herman Miller though, you are actually talking about quality seating companies, so make sure to look at everything, review the chairs you are looking at as well as double check MadisonSeating to make sure you know what you are getting into with them. I've heard good and bad about them, but they are apparently good about warranty.

While I will agree the PC37X is a good way to go, the drivers in the HD558 and 598 are exactly the same, in such the G4ME One/Zero and the PC37X use the exact same drivers. With the PC37X you are paying for a MassDrop "special" unit, something of which is usually made a little cheaper just for MassDrop, for better or worse.

From your list the Cloud Revolver hands down, they made improvements in-house, surprisingly, to the Takstar Pro80's sound which makes it better all around than the previous Cloud and Cloud 2.

It's not to say they are bad, they just get such high praise from people on forums like Head-Fi and that drivel travels down the pipes to dipshits who buy them and recommend them for any and all purposes when they are simply not a great all-around headphone. They also get recommended so constantly that it's really a pain because you have someone asking for advice on something to game with then you get a post or 2 saying "Get the M50X, it's the BEST pair of headphones I've EVER heard!!!! Definitely worth their price!". They are good, but for a multitude of tasks they are simply a poor choice of headphones. Plenty of better options available.

M50X?? Absolutely not.... In fact, just never even bring those things up again on these forums as they are like fucking cockroaches, someone keeps bringing them up. The others however are fine, as would be the NVX XPT100 and Philips SHP9500.

I'd highly recommend doing what I did to get my 1080 FTW, set up text alerts on NowInStock, from there you'd have a few minutes to put in an order through your phone or computer, for me I just used my phone to order through NewEgg. The link that NowInStock will text you directs you to the website link with the product. Otherwise if you can find one local that's always good.

When I ventured into these panels first starting with the Acer XB270HU original release, the bright side being stateside is that Acer will directly exchange panels at their Texas based facility and next day a new panel out, or at least that's what they were doing anyway. I'd be reluctant to attempt that with ASUS due to their customer service... I've been pretty lucky with the 3x XB270HU panels, a PG279Q, as well as a XB271HU as far as getting decent panels, of which I am very very glad. I did come across one bad XB270HU in which I sent direct to Acer and a day later got a new panel that was perfect, so kudos to them for that. But, you being UK based, it would be territory I'm unfamiliar with, though if Overclockers allowed direct returns simply due to BLB, I'd probably stick to them.
