    New fan layout

Hey, I currently have two Fractal Design GP14 case fans that came with my Define S case, one is an intake and the other an exhaust and my CPU cooler is pushing air towards the exhaust. Due to limited space I have to keep my PC tucked underneath my desk. I'm thinking of getting 2x Fractal Design Venturi HP-14 as intakes (or any other recommendations, noctuas etc). If I buy new intake fans, should I move the GP14 fan, so that it blows air out the top, in which case I would have two exhaust fans or should I just buy a new exhaust fan as well and only have one exhaust? I tend to have problems with dust, so should I be looking at a positive pressure setup?
  2. I know, but it seems that my GPU fans/CPU Cooler fan are louder than normal. Basically I have one intake fan and one exhaust fan and the cpu cooler, which is pushing hot air towards the exhaust. I have two more fan headers on my motherboard, I'm thinking of getting another intake fan, so I have two in the front, what do u say?
  3. Hello! So, I've been using this PC for about 2 weeks now and whenever i'm playing games, it seems as if my computer is louder than before when under load. I'm not sure if it's coming from the CPU cooler or the GPU's fans, but there seems to be a sort of "vibrating noise" whenever my fans are spinning, it's not super loud but it's constant. The noise goes away immediately after exiting a game. (It doesn't sound like coil whine) I'm pretty sure that this noise came today, since I haven't heard it during the past two weeks. However, my ambient room temp is around 25C and I have been using this computer heavily for gaming. There does seem to be some dust in the PC, even though my intakes are filtered, I need to clean that out. Here are my temps/fan speeds while playing Witcher 3 when the noise was present: (ambient room temp 25C) CPU Max temps: 61 C, 61 C, 62 C, 59 C (overclocked at 4.4Ghz) CPU cooler fan speed: 1231 rpm System fan 1: 734 rpm System fan 2: 691 rpm GPU temp: 76 C GPU fan speed: 2568 rpm @ 70% IMO everything seems normal? My specs are in the sig, but here are the important ones; GALAX GTX 980 SOC (I haven't overclocked), ThermalRight True Spirit 120M BW rev. A, 2x Fractal Design Dynamic GP14 140mm fans. So, any ideas what it could be? Dust, GPU/CPU/Case fan bearings, GPU vibrating against motherboard heatsink? I'll take a closer look at the PC tomorrow.
  4. Luckily the newest patch 1.08 fixed the stuttering issues for me in Novigrad!
  5. Luckily got it with my GTX 980. I had to request the code from the store where I bought my GPU from and they sent a code, which I redeemed on the Geforce page and then I had to sign in to my Steam.
  6. There's some micro stuttering still in novigrad but it seems that the patch helped a bit
  7. You should easily get 60 fps However hairworks drops my frames around 15 fps so i would just turn it off. Same thing with foliage visibility, settings it to high instead of ultra saves you 10 fps and you dont even notice a difference.
  8. I get a stable 60 fps at 1080p with everything at max except AA, which i have it at SMAA 4x. If I use MSAA 8x my fps dips to around 48-50 and occasionally goes back up to 60 fps.
  9. Isn't there a Windowed option as well for the Fractal Design Define S? Bigger window than on the R5 and the front is clean.
  10. I have 0% stuttering in cutscenes, no problems at all. Do you have V-sync enabled? I personally think the cutscenes are very nicely done!

  12. Yes 500w is enough. I'd recommend a Seasonic PSU.
