  1. When your internet goes out, check to see if the US/DS light on the modem is flashing if you have one with that light. If it is then it's Comcast's problem on their end. If it isn't then the issue is on your end. Also, Comcast modems get pretty toasty. Is yours in an open area where it can get some air. Sometimes mine used to overheat and shut down.
  2. I've been running the Corsair void pros for about 2 years and they are rock solid and sound pretty good. Would recommend
  3. Yeah I don't think airplanes count. HighLANder was with like 11 people at like 14,000ft. I think someone could do it again in Colorado. HighLANder Everest would be entertaining tho
  4. That's WAY better than my first build, that's for sure. Nice Job Dude!
  5. Does someone want to set another record for the worlds highest LAN party so we can get Linus to break it again? HighLANerV2?
  6. Some are satisfied with RGB in their system. As for me, work only happens when my server is running at -100C
  7. Do you have an electronics recycle store near you that you could look around for scrap laptops with similar chips and then salvage that and put it on your rig?
  8. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005548/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards.html?productId=63246&localeCode=us_en Try out this article and see if it helps you. I couldn't find a specific bios on intel's website because It looks like they have their own software for detecting and updating bios's.
  9. Whats the brand and model of the board. Ill try to find something.
  10. If you want the sketchy, but fast way, just take the shroud off and zip tie a fan or two to the heatsink.
  11. I had this problem once. Try a bios update if it's available for your mobo. This might fix your problem. Cheers
  12. I haven't owned a AMD cpu since FX, my experience from those fans is that they were loud and annoying. I would recommend picking up a hyper 212 Black Edition if your looking for something that's pretty good and cheap. Ive been using it for a bit and ive been fairly pleased with it. https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-RR-212S-20PK-R1-Contact-Silencio/dp/B07H25DYM3/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2ETSL63NYMG93&keywords=hyper+212+black+edition&qid=1579751965&sprefix=hyper+2%2Caps%2C214&sr=8-2
  13. Im the CEO of liquid nitrogen and I own the silicon lottery
  14. Im running an i7 920 from like 2008. I could get this running at about 10GHz and finish cinebench instantly if I could use 1400% of my cpu
  15. Whats up peeps. This isn't really an issue but does anyone know why freenas would be reporting my CPU to be running at 1400% Load and -100C.
  16. Are the letters A, B, C, and D presets? If they are, try changing to one of them, if it lets you.
  17. Does the TV have a setting to turn off the WiFi? Sometimes, even though the TV is connected Via Ethernet, will keep trying to search for wifi and ignore that the TV is plugged in. I also had this kind of thing happen with my shield and disabling the WiFi seemed to make it move over to the cable. Also, if that still isn't working, log into your router and make sure its giving the TV an IP.
  18. Im having the same issue here, Ive tried making a different user and adding that to the pool but that doesn't seem to be working. Ive also tried making another share just to try something that is default, that also doesn't seem to work.
  19. For the fans you are trying to turn off might be hitting the warning temp that is set for whatever you are linking the fan control to. Once temps hit the warning they ramp the fans that are on that fan curve all the up to 100% and you cant override them, however you can fix this problem by turning up the warning temp.
  20. Wow this is funny its working better without any driver then it did with drivers (eccept for games and video editing)
  21. When i went to go start my computer this morning i noticed it was in surround. Usally i would be fine if this happend I could go disable it. But this morning when i started and it went into surround by itself all of the screens were flip floped and if you went into the nvidia control pannel to either disable surround or just changes the screens around it would let you click on the buttons but and move things around just like you should be able to eccept they dont do anything after they're changed. I was thinking of reseting the bios and getting all new drivers because then it would act like it just came out of the box. Any ideas?
  22. Personally I would only buy a case psu bundle if the manufacture of the case has a good rep for PSU's ie: Corsair, Cooler master if its not a well known brand I would not jump on it. I think its just better to buy a case and a power supply separate form each other Here are some good ones PSU EVGA 80+ Bronze 600W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817438014 Case Corsair 88R http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139068&cm_re=corsair-_-11-139-068-_-Product
  23. The problem could be when you launch a program the CPU spikes to a high load (Lets say 100%) so to make up for this heat that the cpu is about to put out it ramps up the fan to keep the heat at a stable level. In the bios sometimes there is a fan curve and if the cpu is at 50c then the fan speed is at 50% but when it goes to 52c The fan goes up to 70% this can be fixed by making the fan curve not as steep as it would be French: Le problème pourrait être lorsque vous lancez un programme de la CPU pic à une charge élevée (disons 100%) afin de compenser cette chaleur que le cpu est sur le point de mettre en place rampes jusqu'à le ventilateur pour maintenir la chaleur à un niveau stable .
  24. I also have a 6300. I run mine at the stock 3.5Ghz because my mobo does not overclock cpu's when I thought it did. But anyways 4.1 is a descent speed for the 6300 because its stock speed is 3.5. I would keep it at 4.1 for awhile and see if its meeting up to your standards. If its not play with some more settings and get it to where you like it.
