  1. One of the waste issues that bugs me to no end is the current trend of putting battery packs in EVERYTHING (that you charge via USB cable) instead of plain old rechargeable AA batteries. Batteries are special waste, not electronic waste, they get collected separately... yet in my wireless gaming Headset, in my wireless gaming Mouse, in most of my Gamepads, and of course Smartphone and Tablets anyway... the integrated batteries are EVERYWHERE by now and you can't tell me that there is some army of little dwarfs taking all the tech products apart to sort out the battery packs, most of that stuff ends up in a landfill in some 3rd world country somewhere. Also a good percentage of the products will just be thrown in the trash because the battery finally died, or would you bother replacing the battery pack in a Corsair VOID headset? And i hate it much more when i need to connect my Wireless Mouse to a USB cable for hours instead of just grabbing an AA from the box, clack, clack and its full again. That trend is getting worse. I would love if some Reviewers like LTT would start to shit on this trend in the tech industry. For me it is probably worse, because i got a BUNCH (more than 10) of these Retro style gamepads from 8bitdo and Retro-bit and they all do this as well . sorry for going full off topic here but... this bugs me and it bugs me even more that no one seems to give a crap. Or is this problem only in my head and they got it all figured out already and nobody told me?
  2. Well i got a shiny new Corsair K95 RGB ... BUT i'm not entering for myself, i'm entering for my Dad. He is the kind of person who would never spend more than 20 bucks on a Keyboard and is using some shabby old DELL membrane Keyboard for years now. If it wasn't for me he would never upgrade his PC either... i had to force him away from Windows 2000... his PC had to brake so i could sneak in Win 7. 2 years ago i UPGRADED him to a Q6600, at least he has a QuadCore now and YouTube in Fullscreen stopped lagging. That man will NEVER on his own buy a Mechanical Keyboard. I'm pretty sure he doesn't even know they exist. This man needs your HELP... (for the record: German Keyboard Layout would be required here)

  4. well... no of course you will not notice the difference while playing. just as you will not notice that extra 200MHz that you squeezed out of your CPU by overclocking or like you won't notice the difference between a 20 and a 50ms PING on the Server you just joined. but all together it sums up to quite a bit of difference, in particular in competitive games.
  5. ok... updated to the 353.60 just now, hope this one won't crash all the time like 353.06 did for me... i can see the changes now... .... so you are telling me that with V-Sync ON... on top of G-Sync there is more input lag because of V-Sync (frame buffer???), at lower than maximum refresh rates? ... that is just retarded... is the old driver version where they didn't do it like that also hit by this delay? (needs testing) conclusion... for now: G-Sync ON, V-Sync OFF and i'll punch "GameTime.MaxVariableFps 140" into the user.cfg of Battlefield 3, 4 and Hardline, then i should have minimum input lag at all times.... right? and i guess other games with no custom FPS cap via config/console will just be screwed. i hope Nvidia is going to work a bit more on this, V-Sync should not affect G-Sync at all when below max refresh rate and i was under the impression that it didn't until today.
  6. was this in one of the last 2 or 3 versions? because i skipped those...
  7. //edit: nevermind, was on an old driver and they changed how G-Sync worked in one of the latest drivers... so this was probably all wrong lol.
