For photos you don't need gpu power realy, but one needs to be added to this build from one you have, used somewhere or a Firepro. ATM Firopro kicks Quadro's but (because Nvidia gimped them heavily Gddr3--26.6gps not 5--(64.4-72)gps and pci gen2 still). The GTXs are better than the Quadros atm, until you get to the $2000+ cards. SSD for snappy Windows and programs. Paul(used to work at Newegg) of Paul's Hardware used the relabeled i7--Xeon in a editors build list. Hope this helps. (Sorry for wall of text.)
