  1. ah ok! thank you a lot for your feedback! I will be trying out the things you said! many thanks !
  2. thank you very much! So for the iso yes I know it's very high but I thought about ss 1/60 and f.8 and I used the iso to compensate! My thought process was " f.8 should get everything in focus, even if I don't get the right focus it should be good enough" I tried to MF the shot, and from what I remember it was set on the piano at f8 I thought it should have got the performer(me) in focus. My problem usually is that I cannot control focus because I am usually on stage. Do you think that with these adjustments the result would be on par? Should I do other stuff? The image is also only slightly cropped in. From what I see on youtube the other video on youtube it gives me the option of 4k 50p even though I did the same exact export from Premiere pro. Why is that?
  3. Hi guys! I am here to seek help for my videos! I have bought since a year or so a sonya6400 and I have been quite happy with my photos. I am not a professional and I have been saving up to buy new lenses. I have been pretty sad honestly about the video quality I get out of my camera and I do not understand AT ALL the reason! At the beginning I was using a standard 1080p and it lacked details so I decided to move up to 4k and tried to use HLG3 recording but still the results are as bad as before! In these two clips you can see the comparison between my sonya6400 and the kitlens vs a sony a7 IV with a good lens(not sure which was it). The results are like too different! I do not understand how come! Some info about the video that I know are: file size: 27.9GB after 1h ca. of continuous recording ISO: 12.800 ; F.8 ; SS. 1/60 ; XAVC S 4K ; 24p 60M ; HLG3 (-7detail on camera)with adj in post (I also downscaled the video to 1080p during the export to hopefully have a nicer quality but nope) The second video with a sony a7 IV was like 60+ GB so that means it was shot(I think) at 24p 100M Is it only a problem of lens sharpness? I think the person who did the second video has a very expensive lens 1k-2k. SONY a6400 SONY a7 IV Thank you already for your time! p.s. I just noticed that when I uploaded the video to youtube of the sony a7 IV there is the icon "4K" next to the video while on all my other videos it never appears even if it was record and exported in 4k p.s. 2 My SD-Card is a Lexar professional 128GB 95 MB/S 633x. Could that also be the problem?
  4. Depends on your usage of the laptop... Has hardware canucks said in one of his last videos, 300hz are useless! After 144hz, if you don't have a trained eye it's hard to see the difference imho! Whereas if you get the 1440p not only it will look a bit better/sharper, but also the usually the 1440p panels are much better in terms of color reproduction, so also while watching a movie on the go it will be pleasing to the eye! I would go with the 1440p!! Have you tried to see if the normal g15 with nvidia graphics are less expensive and easier to find? Maybe you could save some money in thay way! Or maybe also looking at other laptops!
  5. Oh well!! That's kinda hard to say! It depends on how they are cooled as well!! So check many reviews! If it's just gaming I would go with the 3060 and the i7.... Otherwise you could go with ryzen 5 5600h and 3050 since the cpu should be vastly superior in terms of core number and battery life! If he is just going to game then intel would be maybe the better option as well...
  6. Hey! Have you looked at the asus m16 or g15? I am also looking to buy a new pc and those would be cool... Or the legion lineup from lenovo! Otherwise if you like the 14 inch I was thinking to buy the g14, but the only thing is that the max ram supported is 24 and 8 are already soldered on... From msi you have also the prestige 15 that could be interesting if I'm not mistaken...
  7. hey! have you looked at the msi gs66 stealth? it has most of what you ask and it's barely in your budget, there are some sales now... I don't know about the american keyboard though..... Also Asus ROG or Legion 5 or 7 have things that could interest you!
  8. hey thanks for the comment! I have looked at it but it's like 2x my budget and more hahaha It's not like I want a super professional laptop for my lightroom/photoshop and light adobe premiere, but it's a bit frustrating that I cannot find something that is suitable for me for that budget....
  9. Hi guys! I am looking for a laptop to replace my Lenovo y50-70 since it's brokey (screen doesn't work, battery lasts very short, deck broken etc...) I wanted a suggestion from you all and wanted to do a side rant a bit! What I would love to have is a laptop with a 100%srgb at least screen (would love to get 16:10) since I have started editing my photos etc. The screen resolution would be nice at more than 1080p and for size I was thinking about 15.6'' or 16''. As for the rest cpu I am not sure if Amd or Intel is a better option!(multicores and battery life vs thunderbolt and single core perf) I would be doing also some light video editing such as 1080p (MAYBE 4k in the future?) without many effects, just color grading with lumetri on Adobe premiere. I would be doing also some basic audio editing since I am a musician. For the storage I have seen that it's very unlikely I will get the 1tb that I had before. Lastly with a non gamery cheap design Budget around 1000€ My researches have told me that such laptop almost does not exists! My ideal pc would be the Msi GS66 stealth but that's waaaay overbudget! I looked at the lenovo legion 5 and it could be an interesting option but I would also like to have some other opinions! RANT: I feel like laptop have become less and less interesting over the time! I would love a thin and light but the prices are way too expensive with a drop in display sizes(many 13'' or 14''). Another absurd aspect I have noticed is that those sizes are the one that get higher display resolution. I have seen plenty of them with 1440p resolution wherease the 15.6'' keep their FHD displays. Not to talk about the high refresh rate with a junk color gamut or super color gamut with a jank refresh rate. Do people really need more than 144hz on a laptop? I know innovation is cool etc but no middleground seems like a stupid idea. I have seen only 1 screen that could be cool 165hz, 100%rgb, 16:10, 2160x1600 of the legion... I know there is also a shortage on gpus but their model name and performance are just a nightmare! 1050-1650 - 1650ti max q- 1660ti max q- 2060 and 2060 maxq - 3050ti - 3060 with more or less vram and wattage (also why is a 1650ti newer than a 1660ti?). Their design language where they put just red accents on the pc or stupid rgb everywhere. Also the IO on the back of a laptop, like the legion 5... why do you even think about that's a good idea? I may have been stupid or whatever but the braided cable of my logitech g504 got melted because of the (way) too high temperature of my laptop... why shouldn't a usb stick right next to the vent do the same? Moreover I know people need power etc but why would ANYONE want a laptop that at full load cannot be recharged when plugged in? or why would anyone want to go around with a legion 5 with a freaking 300w charger for a laptop? where is the portability side? What about the super small batteries(also paired sometime with 4k displays)? Why are companies ditching sd card reader for micro sd reader? WHO uses that card for their cameras or whatever else? They should either offer it or ditch it adding a thunderbolt port... Also Asus g14 without a webcam? WHY I don't know you all guys but I fell like 1000€ is not that cheap of laptop and you can find just beginner stuff that are either ugly but ok or beautiful but useless... I know they want to push the consumer to buy always the more expensive one.... Now as Linus says it's not worth it to just criticise so here you go my ideal pc: CPU:4c/8t - 6c/12t intel or amd GPU: (new naming order) 1660ti 6gb - 2060 6gb Display: 2160*1600, 120hz/144hz, 100% Adobe Rgb, 16:10 aspect ratio, IPS (or microled :P) Ram: 16gb ram SSD: 512gb-1 Tb Min Battery: 80Wh min IO: 2 usb 3.2 type A ; 2-3 type c with at least 2 power delivery and 1-2 thunderbolt 3 or usb4(if not higher) ; sd-card reader would be top; 1080p camera Design: like the dell xps or the razer, could be thicker for proper cooling and batteries, not exceeding 2.5kg though Price: 1000-1500€ I know some of the specs are just plain dream right now but something could be a bit downsized or thought over Thanks for the patience! Feel free to make any suggestion, modification to my "ideal" laptop
  10. Hello guys! I have been rocking my lenovo y50-70 (i7 4710hq,860maxwell,1 tb hdd) for quite sometime now (around 6 years). During the last years it received some beating and now it feels like its time has almost come, since screen still has weird shifts in color and gets stuck, ethernet broken, power cable opening, screen hinge begins fo fail again ecc.... I have been looking for a replacement but it looks like there isn't anything suited for my liking! Can anyone help me? The heavy load i make are photo editing and lately increase of video editing... It has been quite a while since I last played games but nevertheless i would love to have a machine capable of it! Screen size the ideal would be 15.6" and quite color accurate! Refresh rate is ok whatever it comes equippes with! An honest battery life with 1tb of storage with a good build quality! (sd reader would be super but not obligatory) Budget is not really high! Would love around 1000€ but it seem almost impossible. I felt like ryzen would have been interesting but intel with a thunderbolt connector would be a good alternative! Should I wait for some new entry or the market is not going to change a lot in the next few months? Thanks everyone!!!!
  11. hello! I'm back just to say I was able to fix the problem!!!! as I was quite not sure that was a screen problem since it did work from time to time. I remember I bumped into the corner where my connector is seated and I actually removed the frame of the screen and reseated the connector and so far so good!!!
  12. ok so yesterday night I have been editing on my pc without a problem, as soon as I stopped and started watching a video the pc started having the same problem. Moreover right now I am writing you from my pc linked to my tv via hdmi. The tv has no problem at all werease the monintor of my pc is doing the same white and magenta screen!!! what can it be? the screen itself or the connector?
  13. I tried it and actually it was working! now it's also working without a problem! it's strange... but maybe as you said could be the gpu!
  14. Hi everyone! so yesterday all of a sudden my pc started having this weird issue. Any screen, also the start page would turn from black to white and some sort of magenta tint, mainly white. The strange thing is that the pc somehow still operates: I was doing a backup(because I saw it happen once and I got scared) and in the middle the pc started shifting to the colors I mentioned, after I waited a bit I decided to put it on stand by and then I opened it again. The result was that the backup was at 98% while when it froze it was only at 45%. Another example is that while watching a youtube video with the chromecast on the tv I was able to pause and resume the video pressing the space bar but it would not operate in any other way. I did see online that it could be the mobo and today I decided to open it. I did not see anything on the backside that could seem like a burnt part or things like that. I did also repaste the cpu and gpu for safety. I tried to boot into the Bios thinking that it could have been a virus and yes it stays black for 10 sec and then it starts shifting and then sometime magically it goes back and starts some flickering and after a while it just goes to those colors without any way to recover it!! I am actually sad that my old lenovo is like this. Do you guys have info to what it could be and what do you think would be the best route to go ? p.s. no the screen is NOT reflecting, those are the real colors you can see on the screen TL;DR my screen yesterday started to go white and magenta as in the pic. I don't understand why and when I opened it, it seemed fine.
