  1. This might sound stupid, but I don't understand how this device is blowing air through it to cool the component that sits underneath it. I don't see any fans on it. How is it cooling/blowing air through the chamber?
  2. So, no WAN show today? I can understand why, but just wondering.
  3. Got it. Thanks guys! I should've realized my mistake that we really don't have any context as to how the hack took place, so answering my question is nearly impossible at the moment. Next WAN is gonna be
  4. So, can someone answer my question? Would implementing passkeys have reduced the surface area for this hack?
  5. All I will say is this - the sooner we get to universal passkeys implementation, the better. For those of you that are knowledgable, if passkeys were implemented on Youtube, would LTT still have gotten hacked as badly as they did? Based on my understanding of how passkeys work, it would've been alot harder for the hackers to gain control over the account. Is that correct?
  6. Hi, I had a RAID 1 Array that somehow got degraded. Long story short, I got a replacement hard drive and initiated the rebuild process in the BIOS (see the attached photo). Here is my question: Should I let the PC sit in the BIOS and complete rebuilding the RAID 1 array in the BIOS? Or Is It safe for me to restart the computer and boot into Windows? My specs are listed below: Specs: Motherboard: Asus Maximus Code XI RAM: 16 GB DDR 4 (Corsair Vengeance, 2x 8 GB) CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K (overclocked to 4.6 Ghz) GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 3090 (FE) PSU: Be Quiet! 850 W Storage: 1x 1 TB NVMe SSD - WD BLACK SN750 (Windows 10 is installed on this drive) 2x 12 TB HDD (RAID 1 Array) - WD Red Plus WD120EFAX (for backup purposes) 1x 8 TB HDD - WD Gold WD8004FRYZ (additional storage) OS: Windows 10 Home - 22H2 Thanks for your help!
  7. Ok, I have 1 more question on this topic. I have received my replacement 12 TB hard drive and now I am in the BIOS and selected the option to Rebuild the Array. The RAID 1 status in the BIOS now says "Rebuilding." See the attached screenshot. Here is my question: Should I let the PC sit in the BIOS and complete rebuilding the RAID 1 array in the BIOS? Or Is It safe for me to restart the computer and boot into Windows? Thanks,
  8. @Kilrah Yes, it takes 1-2 min wait before Windows even attempts to load. It just sits on the Asus boot logo for a long time. Then, when Windows boots, it boots quickly.
  9. I should've clarified: I am using a software RAID setup - Intel's Rapid Storage Technology. Does this mean that because a drive has failed on the RAID array, that the BIOS is delaying the boot?
  10. Hi, I have a desktop system that I have built myself (specs below) that I have configured with a RAID 1 Array. Some time ago, the BIOS reported that the RAID 1 Array is in a "degraded" status, which, I believe, means that one of the 2 hard drives in the array has failed. At the same time, I have noticed that my boot times, either when I restart the computer or cold booting it, are very slow! It takes up to 1-2 minutes to boot into Windows. My main Windows 10 OS is installed on a fast NVMe SSD, so I don't understand why it takes this long to boot into Windows. It didn't take this long in the past before I configured the RAID 1 array. My question is as follows: Can a degraded RAID 1 array cause boot times to increase to 1-2 minutes? Specs: Motherboard: Asus Maximus Code XI RAM: 16 GB DDR 4 (Corsair Vengeance, 2x 8 GB) CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K (overclocked to 4.6 Ghz) GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 3090 (FE) PSU: Be Quiet! 850 W Storage: 1x 1 TB NVMe SSD - WD BLACK SN750 (Windows 10 is installed on this drive) 2x 12 TB HDD (RAID 1 Array) - WD Red Plus WD120EFAX (for backup purposes) 1x 8 TB HDD - WD Gold WD8004FRYZ (additional storage) OS: Windows 10 Home - 22H2
  11. Once Elon makes this a reality and we are actually seeing the speeds and latency targets that SpaceX promised, I am moving away from the city. I can't wait to start living the country life and breathing that fresh air and watching those beautiful sunsets! Am I being just too idealistic here? I mean, if you have great internet and can live in the countryside, why wouldn't you move to the countryside?
  12. All I will say is Google ceased to be the "good guy" when they removed the phrase "don't be evil" from their corporate Code of Conduct. So, I am not at all surprised Google has taken this stance.
  13. That’s fine with me, as long as RTX performance doesn’t take a significant hit at 1440p or 4K, I am ready for Ampere’s launch. Sept can’t come soon enough!
  14. Apple holds the price and name very close to their chest. I doubt the price or even the name is correct. To me, this sounds more like speculation than anything else.
