  1. sorry everyone, i was able to fix it. it was because fast boot was enabled and only loads 1 sata port on the mobo, my boot drive is on sata port 2.
  2. i am really not sure how this happened, i just turned on my computer said to boot from a bootable drive (which is suppose to be my SSD) but when i go to it the bios doesn't even know what's what. i was able to boot by selecting one by one, but now it keeps doing this when i turn off my pc.
  3. Do you think it's safe to put like a sticky tape to the bottom of it so it's not flopping around in my case?
  4. My motherboard is an MSI Z97 krait. After looking through my motherboards manual I'm having doubts it will work here is what I found: "The SATA Express port or SATA5~6 ports will be unavailable when installing a module in the M.2 port. • Intel RST does not support PCIe M.2 SSD with Legacy ROM. • M.2 PCIe interface does not support RAID 0, RAID1, RAID 5 and RAID 10."
  5. I'm not sure if that one may work, my video card sits right over the m.2 slot.
  6. Oh, this saddens me. Yes, sata port 5 and 6 are disabled when M.2 is used.
  7. Exactly what I was looking for thanks!
  8. 2TB M.2S are kind of expensive also they don't make 4TB m.2s I want to use an HDD for storage.
  9. Okay so I used up all my motherboards sata slots and was thinking of getting a sata pcie 1x expansion card but my graphics card blocks all of my pcie 1x slots. I'm using 4 drives as a storage pool as parity 1 ssd as my boot and a 2tb that's full. I was thinking of trying to put my m.2 slot to use but I'm not sure if there is an m.2 adapter to sata.
  10. I'd like to do this with a camera that supports infrared. I'm assuming you can use 5ghz wifi to send over the video to a nas?
  11. yeah, initially when i start it up I've seen c3 then boots up. but never heard post so im not even sure if the speaker is even working. oh and fast boot is disabled
  12. maybe i forgot to mention that i have tried it the other way and it still doesn't work.
  13. hey guys, so as the tittle says, my PC boots fine but before the bios loads up i get no beeps or posts I'm not sure if i put in the speaker right or not
  14. i got the raidmax because i was in a desperate situation. no computer and no money, i bought it for 45 dollars. but its worth to get something a bit more stable.
  15. on my old rig i upgraded to a cheap raidmax PSU, it wasn't the best idea and i was a bit skeptical but it turned out to be a good buy for me. lasted me about 3 extra years and still runs i just happened to build a new pc. although i "supposedly" chose a wrong PSU for my new pc and found a thread that dug up my PSU stating that it causes ripples. its been a year and it still works with no issues,
