    I don't really have a strict budget as this is an investment. I don't mind paying for a quality display. Saying that I'm not looking for a no-compromise panel with a premium price point because it's the 'best'.

    I'm getting heavily into design. I'm looking at picking up a new display in the near future. Currently I'm using a BenQXL2430T and it's not the best outside of gaming. What I'm after: 1. BIGness. After using a 24" display it doesn't provide the real estate I need with Illustrator, C4D etc. (as well as general multi-tasking) I'm looking for 32" ^ so I can have a lot of things happening at once. 2. SHARPness 1080p just doesn't cut it for me anymore after using a 1440p macbook, looking at a 1080p panel strains my eyes when working with type. 3. IPSness. As I'm using this for design and graphics I need colour accuracy when viewing from any angle. This is very noticeable on my current monitor. The contrast and colours change if you aren't looking at the screen dead on. 4. Your opinion. I'm no expert on hardware I just want to do my thing. Any personal experience or tips that you have be sure to mention them in your response. Thanks heaps

    I've used both consoles in the past (Xbox 360 most recently). Nice to know Xbox controllers work natively. The XB1 Elite controller looks very nice but I don't think it will be worth the extra investment as I'll be exclusively be using it for Dark Souls. Thanks for the reply, very informative.

    I picked up DS3 recently and the controls on PC are, well some of you might know. I've been told that controllers are a lot better for this game so I'm going to pick one up. I've also heard that the Xbox 360 controller is the best for PC but what about the XB1 controller? Is that any good? Would love to hear from anyone with experience in the Dark Souls games on PC or that uses a controller on PC. Thanks.

    This is a bit of an OCD problem but I have a lot of games that are just saving their info/saves in the root of My Documents. Is there a way to have them in My Games instead. It only seems appropriate not having 50 games scattered in with my documents. Thanks. Example attached:

    I found out that Sonic Suite had setting returned to default after an update. This put the speaker config on surround. I've heard that Fallout doesn't work well with surround sound so I changed it back to stereo and it's fine.

    I've been playing Fallout 4 recently but I'm having some audio issues. Basically I'm not getting any virtual audio when the source is directly in front of me. I'd have to turn away from the source and point my ear to the audio source so to speak. So far I've validated the game cache, checked a bunch of other games to see if they have the same/similar issues. I've played over 200hrs without this issue. Only now that I've had a break has the issue started. Any tips on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    I always recommend a gold rated or above PSU. It's one of the most important parts of a build, so you should invest in a quality one

    Hi. I loaded up Fallout 4 recently and and sound coming from a forward direction is very low. Only when I turn my imaginary ear towards the sound either left or right is the sound at the right volume. It is the same when using speakers and headphones. What could be causing this? Another issue I've been having for a while is my headphones. Randomly sound won't come out of the left side. I have to restart the pc several times or jiggle the front panel cables around. I'm not sure what is actually fixing this, all I know is that it eventually works itself out after doing one or all of the mentioned "fixes". Any insight into this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    My friend is looking at building his first PC. I thought I'd jump on here and get an opinion to start. This is what he's looking at but full ATX: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/twByWX He has no idea what he's looking at hence the mid tower and micro atx board.     I'm having a problem with BF4. I have played it without issues for 80hrs or so but I occasionally get a issue where the game client will crash when I join a server. It usually fixes itself when I restart my PC but not this round. I've tried running the webhelper, verifying the game in Origin restarting, turning off and on etc. Nothing is working. Any tips?

    I've been experiencing a weird problem with my headphones on my PC. It's been happening for a while on and off. Randomly when I put on my headphones, sound only comes out the right side. I opened up my case and made sure all the connections to the front audio are tight. I jiggled the cables around a bit because why not right? One side is not muted in the audio settings and they work fine with any other device AND the PC 90% of the time. What would be causing this? - It fixes itself after restarting the computer 1-3 times or patting / complimenting the PC.

    I'll try downloading the installer on my laptop. EDIT: It worked on my laptop after having the same slowness for 5mins or so.

    I've also tried with different browsers. And the Battle.net-Setup.exe is just displaying "Starting..." on the download pane. RIP.

    I'm having some trouble with getting onto Battle.net. This is the only site that loads slow for me. I've check Youtube, Facebook and every other bookmark I have and they all load fine within 1-3 seconds. Battle.net or any Blizzard related site on the other hand doesn't load at all. I've been trying to play some Overwatch. Just now it took me ~15mins to get onto http://us.battle.net/en/app/ The other day when I tried to get the client the estimated time for the download of 3mb or something small like that was 4.5hrs... for 3mb. Does anyone else have this problem or any suggestions, thanks.

    Yeah it was a tiny bit loose. I've done up the screws so it won't slip out, even though the PC never moves Thanks guys.

    Recently my screen randomly goes black (Not actually off) for 2-3 seconds before coming on again. I've noticed it in games and normal usage. The screen remains on and the power switch stays illuminated not orange as if it was going to idle. What would be causing this? GPU, monitor heat?

    I think so. As you say, it's a vector program. I just hadn't used the program in any capacity before so I thought I'd get a second opinion before spending time on a file. Thanks for your response guys @Minibois @SherifsDog22

    I've started using Illustrator recently. What size should the canvas or document be, and does it matter? Also do different tasks require a larger/smaller canvas e.g working with type, logos, posters. I'm playing around with typefaces for a title sequence @Learnsquared and the instructor specifies "big" but not dimensions or what units etc. Any tips on this would be great. Thanks

    Hi, I just bought a couple of albums from Bandcamp and the estimated time for the download of one album is ~45mins. The speeds are much better when downloading Steam updates for example. I live in AUS so the speeds are bad but I download at ~1mb/s in Steam. I used to use iTunes (now using Foobar) and downloads would take under 10 mins easily. What would be causing such slow download speed in chrome?
