I booted up my PC and jumped on Discord to find I couldn't hear anyone and my mic wasn't working (no green "you are speaking" icon either). I can't remember there being any updates, and I certainly didn't make any changes to settings. I can hear audio outside of Discord but not inside. I can't test my mic as the audio devices pannel becomes unresponsive when I click on anything inside the recording tab. It doesn't display "not responding", but you can't click on anything or switch to another tab in the sound panel. So far I've: - Checked physical connections of my headset and mic - Checked/reconfigured Discord audio settings - Shut down PC - Restarted PC - Checked if Discord was muted in the mixer Any ideas?

Hi, I've recently started using my Wacom again and I've gone ahead and reinstalled the drivers. Everything works fine, but when I use the pen to move the cursor the pointer/photoshop brush etc goes invisible. I move my mouse and it re-appears. Any ideas?

Hi, I'm running low on space for programs on my main SSD which currently has Windows and all my programs. I have another SSD in the system that I used to use for games. Can I just install programs directly onto this drive from now on, or is there some prep work required first?

I'm there's some 3D gurus on here somewhere! I'm working on a personal project which has predominantly been developed in my sketchbook and Photoshop. I'm transitioning into 3D software to try and realize my vision more accurately and with greater flexibility when it comes to design iterations. I'm using a bunch of different programs (Marvelous Designer for clothing, Daz3d for characters and so on).I have dabbled in 3DMax a few years ago but I've heard Maya/C4D are most common for designers these days.I'm looking to focus in on one 3D program for modelling and renders so I'm not overwhelming myself as I'm learning Daz and M.D as well. In the future I can expand to incorporate whatever I need but for now I'd like to know which is the most well rounded and approachable for what I'm trying to get done. Primarily I'm looking to achieve a still presentation of my character/prop/environment designs. I'm after Bear-like (https://bear.app) notes app for Windows. Something lightweight with the ability to tag or organize notes. Apps like EverNote are too cluttered with features. Willing to pay up to ~$20 if there's a good paid option. Thanks.

I thought it was... or hidden. I've enabled dark default app mode via: Windows > Settings > Personalisation. That's the only dark theme option I can find. Where abouts it the option to toggle it for explorer?

TLDR; sensitive eyes f.lux not enough. Trying to "turn off the lights" where I can. I know the dark theme for explorer was phased out in later updates of Win10. Is there any way I can get it back, or revert to that version so I can use it? <3

Hi, my parents have asked me to help them organize a new TV/Sound/DVD/Bluray setup, as their TV is ANCIENT. I don't really dabble at all in home entertainment, I mostly pay attention to PC specific hardware. I'm looking for some advice on a new TV in particular. As stated in the title out budget is $1500-2000 AUD for the screen. Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing? They're not quality freaks by any stretch of the imagination but I want to get them the best panel for their budget. Their primary uses are watching DVDs,Blurays and regular television. They've also expressing interest in streaming services and playing their music via the TV setup. So if there is any desirable functionality to do with those things = yay *They also intend to wall mount it* From the sounds of it the end-game for them is to have a TV, a DVD/Bluray player, Apple TV and the TVboxthing paired with a minimal audio solution, along the lines of a speaker panel. Needs: - Reliable (They stick with their tech for a long time) - ~45" and up with the highest resolution possible within budget (possibly 4K?). - Aesthetics is a plus i.e small bezel, nice materials etc. Thanks a lot for any assistance.

As title says, I'm looking for an uninstaller that gets rid of all the lingering files that don't get removed when you use the OS uninstaller. I've had a bit of a look around but I've often been given bad suggestions from sites like TechRadar when it comes to "best software". I removed and reseated the GPU and RAM, checked all cables were firmly in place, the problem hasn't occurred again yet. Seems to be fixed.

And I don't remeber seeing an update for Win10 in the last week.

At the moment I cant get to the BIOS, I just get "no signal" when I start the PC. Everything looks fine, just no response from the monitor or peripherals.

Booted up my PC this morning and after a few minutes it completely froze. No mouse response, no keyboard response just a still image on the screen. I reseated the GPU and cleaned out the dust filters (pc stays cool even when dirty). Turned it on, it seemed to be working fine. I proceeded to get back to what I was doing and a few minutes later, same thing. What commonly causes this type of freeze/crash? I don't have a lot of clutter on my drives and I exclusively use the PC for games and basic internet usage so I can't imagine viruses being an issue. I haven't moved and of my setup in the last six months.

Hi, If anyone plays Warframe they will know there is a lot of repetition when it comes to key presses. I run a frame (character) that needs to press 2 constantly during a mission. I have no idea how to use autohotkey, how would I set a hotkey to press 2 every half a second or so? Cheers.

Why is Spotify so god damn slow. It takes forever to load and search artists. I've cleared the cache, reinstalled and deleted all the files that other forums say to remove and it works for one session then returns to being a slow p.o.s. Any tips guys?

I think that's something new @NavinRobin @TheonlyReaper. Mine doesn't show a release date like other upcoming games. I've tweeted at Steam and Ubisoft support with no response. It might help if you guys do the same. When I google the problem not much comes up.
