  1. Is there actually any difference between the normal Godlike and Godlike Carbon, in the way of features.
  2. It might be the biggest jump, however that will be over many different GPUs, also why release one big GPU, then nothing until Volta (2018 or 2019) if you can do small incremental upgrades and get more money. Also expect a Q1 2017 release for high end Pascal
  3. Just a question, I guess you can get 100hz, try running the Gsync Pendulum demo, then try it at low FPS. I expect you will notice lines on the screen. I would have waited, CES is on Tuesday and I expect more information on the ASUS PG348Q
  4. Thanks, wanted to make sure, the only difference seems to be the extras and DRM. I guess I can still edit the ini config files with the Steam version?
  5. Hello I am thinking about getting the Witcher 3 on Steam, as it is £25, however do you think £50 is worth it for the GOG version. Thanks
  6. Ashes of the Singularity is good, I have played most of the Command and Conquer games as well, Generals and Tiberium Wars was the best
  7. You guys know the performance jump will be similar to the GTX 780ti to GTX 980, as the new die size is really dense, therefore overclocking will be limited. Also why make a 80 percent increase in performance when they can do two GPUs with 40 percent increase in performance.
  8. There is a H115i, it is new, currently on pre order in the UK
  9. It is the EK Predator 360mm, just showing what I get at 4.4Ghz while gaming.
  10. Actually, that has been fixed now. If you had the budget for the EK Predator 240mm or 360mm, that is the best AIO, it is so quiet even when gaming, with my 5930K 4.4Ghz 1.3V, I get 58-64c when gaming. Normally highest temperature is 62c though. I have the EK Predator 360mm version. If you do not want that, then the Corsair H110i GTX or Corsair H115i, they are the best AIO, excluding the EK Predator
  11. with my 5930K 4.4Ghz 1.3V, I get 58-64c when gaming. Normally the highest I get is about 62c
  12. with my 5930K 4.4Ghz 1.3V, I get 58-64c when gaming.
  13. Take his reviews, then look online at users reviews, never just trust his reviews. If you do, every monitor has no issues and is so good. The ACER Predator X34, does not deserve to be 1st of that list, it has too many issues. Take a look at other monitors.
  14. Yeah, it is possible. I just want to run x16, x16 and x4 (PCIE SSD) so it removes any bottlenecks in the system. For the MSI X99 Godlike, it becomes difficult to use the 5820K due to the PCIE configuration (not sure if it can be changed) Slots • 5 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (PCI_E1~E4, PCI_E6), support up to 4-way mode - 1-way mode: x16/ x0/ x0/ x0/ x0 - 2-way mode: x16/ x0/ x0/ x16/ x0*, x16/ x0/ x0/ x8/ x0** - 3-way mode: x16/ x0/ x0/ x16/ x8*, x8/ x8/ x0/ x8/ x0** - 4-way mode: x8/ x8/ x0/ x16/ x8*, x8/ x8/ x0/ x8/ x4** * For the CPU that supports 40 PCIe lanes ** For the CPU that supports 28 PCIe lanes
  15. I have the 5930K (look below) I would prefer to have x16 lanes on each GPU, incase high end Pascal or Volta needs it. Also I have a PCIE SSD
  16. Well we got to 200hz at the moment, however I expect you will not notice a difference, as after 100hz, it starts to become hard to notice any difference while gaming.
  17. Not really an upgrade as it is the same resolution, same style and same refresh rate (165hz is not really an upgrade) the only difference is IPS. It is better to get IPS, you will notice a difference, however it is not worth the extra money for just IPS
  18. We know die shrinks do not help increase performance, as seen by recent die shrinks. Do not expect a massive jump as NVIDIA/AMD will want slowly release the GPUs (starting Q2 2016) with incremental performance gains, until you get to high end Pascal (Q2 2017)
  19. That is fine, valid reason. It is VESA mount compatible though. Would you not want a feature that stands out and shows off the entire system.
  20. Could be another option (could have problems now) as it is a high end curved monitor, which is like the BenQ version.
  21. Seems like the ACER Predator Z35 has colour banding as well, another example of ACER QC here. Small samples, need to find out more though
  22. No, do not get the ACER Predator X34, they need to fix all the issues before I recommend it. The ASUS PG348Q is the monitor I am getting, it is coming out January 2016, I expect CES will give us more information.
  23. You do not, however even the 2nd generation has issues, including scan lines (lines on the screen) the only issue that was fixed from generation one was the wake up problem. It still has, coil whine, not reaching 100hz, scan lines, settings being reset and not turning off correctly. I expect most stock is now 2nd generation. With CES so close, I would wait before you purchase any monitor. If you still want it, make sure you look online at the issues. Some people have bought five of them, yet they still have the scan line issue. It might even be on every monitor.
  24. The PG279Q is really good, if you can get a good panel. The panels are made by AU Optronics (ACER, terrible QC) which is why they have a lot of backlight bleed and IPS glow. For the specs you want, it has to be 3440x1440p really, unless you want a lower refresh rate or TN panel. We have CES soon, I expect more information on the ASUS PG348Q to be released. Do not expect 100 FPS in games with one GTX 980ti, with GTX 980ti SLI in Witcher 3 Ultra Hairworks, you get about 60 FPS. Battlefront Ultra you will get about 70 FPS, with one GTX 980ti, I think 3440x1440p 100hz is worth it though.
  25. It depends on your budget, stay away from the ACER Predator X34 (so many issues) the ACER X341CK would be the better option, or get the LG, Dell or Samsung 3440x1440p 60hz monitor (better choice for lower budget) 2560x1080p is awful due to the low PPI ration.
