    no, the performance and durability is not affected due to the algorithms that prevent the storage from actually splitting (like a mechanical drive would) so if you think about it partitioning a mechanical drive is more degrading than an ssd would be due the arm inside the mechanical drive having to switch between partitions on the platter

    You can partition an SSD just like you would on a hard drive.
