  1. The best thing to keep in mind- if you're planning on OCing your GPU's, which you're probably going to do, I would highly recommend to get an open-air cooled GPU. In a case where you're volume restricted (case size), which you're not- then founder's would be good. So two things I would change: add better case fans for optimal airflow, and get open-air cooled GPU's. Other than that, GAME ON.

  3. Understandable response, however, if they required a deposit prior to shipment, the cost of shipping (outbound and return), this would be subside the "dealing outside of their circle". The confidence would be higher, right?

  5. for the record, the reason positioning changed on radiator was because the motherboard power connector on the top left wasn't allowing the 2nd fan on the radiator to clear it. since I like top mounted radiators, I had to go with the choice of flipping locations.
  6. thanks, sir! I think so too. the temps on the GPU idle are 27*c - 32*c and CPU idle temps are 18*c - 23*c. the temps on the GPU load are 73*c - 77*c and CPU load temps are 31*c - 42*c. by the way, the GPU is OC'd at: +125mhz core clock and +95mhz memory clock.
  7. updates: adding x2 Cooler Master Blade Master 120mm fans to radiator. went to a local lowe's and bought new m3 6-32 screws took off the radiator- prepping for the fans install had to make a DIY block off- not going to spend $15+ just for a simple plate. cardboard it is! this is the bottom of the DIY block off. this is the top of the DIY block off. screwed in the DIY block off. 140mm spec. looking in from the case, you can see the bottom of the DIY block off. looking from the top without the top cover/filter. this looks great, all done. the temperatures are much more consistent, and dropped my GPU temps since there is one more 120mm fan in the system. here it is with the cover on. can't tell nothin'!! yay! (flash on to show that you CAN NOT see it. the DIY block off is NOT noticable with the top cover on what so ever as you can see. it may look ghetto, but it is not visible. nice touch and simple. like the build subtitle.. i am on a budget as well.

In order to make this build relevant in the future, my intention on settling with the Cooler Master Mastercase Pro 5 was not for sole fact that I wanted a truly beautiful case, but I wanted something with the modular aspect. Being around the professional PC tech industry, I always wondered in years past why something like this case hadn't been made MAINSTREAM. Sure, you were able to find close relations to the modern modular case idea, but it was never mass-marketed, nor was it visioned that this was what consumers wanted. We were in such complacent times when it came to raw case design and implementation. In other words to elaborate further, this case is going to stay with me for as long as I can, and remain as innovative as it can be as future hardware changes progressively. Now with said, I have been thinking of maybe getting back to my custom loop watercooling setups. I've done many, many in the past and can be found on my old topics. However, the question remains: with TDP slowly getting lower and energy efficiency improves, what is the reason for non-overclocked cpu's? My stock cooler for my i5-6500 can keep my CPU at a mere 24*c-30*c average (with the 3 included 140mm case fans). So, with proper airflow management, it almost seems like the sole purpose of the insane cost spikes we've seen in the custom watercooling industry is to make an easy dollar and to take advantage of those consumers who wish to purchase and install the product(s). Now obviously, I can see the price justification for a true workstation rig, or a 24/7 rendering machine, or heck even a HARDCORE gaming rig that features tier-1 hardware with hardware that's overclock able to the extreme. So I guess I am having a dilemma- do I go for something that is more cost effective and essentially gives the same results +/- a few degrees, or do I go out and spend money that I don't necessarily have to? Or heck, do I supplement my savings for my realistic, beneficial components such as: NVMe SSD's, type-c add-in hardware, etc? I love all aspects of the computer industry- I am not biased towards air or water/liquid cooling.. in fact 90% of the time I like to include BOTH sectors (liquid/water cooled CPU's, air cooled GPU's or vice versa.. liquid/water cooled GPU's, air cooled CPU's). If somebody feels the need to respond to this I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks! Cheers!
  10. Totally! The execution is horrendous, to be honest lol. Terrible is too nice :-P It's just mind blowing how they made something that they were so passionate about, but basically left it in beta-stage, it's mind blowing actually... the software platform has ALWAYS been broken, since day 1. Sure, with patches you'd assume leap improvements, but it's definitely not the case.. it's more like they're just adding more clutter, and less innovation. Derrr..... it sounds like Blackberry all over again. Started as a wonder, halfway it turned complacent and then their conclusion was not to put anymore effort and eventually kill themselves. They got resurrected with the idea of taking another vision (Android), and make it a stagnant company from then forward to current times.
  11. It's a generational thing, to be simply put. Rather than making it into something more complex, put it as: our parents come from a generation where the automobile industry was king, and was making HUGE milestone leaps ahead from a short time. The thing with our generation (I am 25), we are reverse... cars are becoming more boring and universally "the same", where that industry has become stagnant in terms of mind-blowing tech. Sure, Tesla, Audi and others are making commonly already known improvements; they're actually just refining what's ALREADY known. However, the personal computer industry is making GINORMOUS leaps into sectors we had no idea we'd end up in. Food for thought.
  12. I can't tell you how many times I've had a "corrupt" install. In fact, in my event viewer I had hundreds of "critical" statuses detailing/outlining the program failed to start. It's something that I wish Corsair would spend more time on, rather than spending time making other things. It's unfortunate that Corsair has let their software dev team become so complacent, and leaving us the consumer in the dust. It's also unfortunate that with their HUGE product sales spike, that they're not putting more money back into software development. Cheers!

  15. Wow Willy Dijo. I am most definitely impressed.. not only by the hardware, but the creative and time consuming amount of effort you have put into this case. This would be something I would proudly display for guests whom come into my home to see the elaborate care and character.   20. agreed. the green design just makes the build that much more complete without having to ghetto paint any hardware with risk of voiding warranties.
  21. it's a board that fits my needs exactly. with no reason to add more PCIe lanes at this time or in the distant future, I bought a board that sufficiently supports 1 GPU that will be a x16. there could be a time where I add an additional PCIe device, but likely it will only be a wifi card if I ever do, or a simple USB expansion card. so the fact of the matter is, it does exactly what I wanted to buy and it keeps the colour scheme I have going on.

  23. I love the aesthetics of the machine. Knowing of the hardware specs, the configuration I'd use it for the perfect living room 65" LED TV media machine Of course I'd game, stream and have a blast!!
