That game has horrible optimisation as it is and your specs are not doing it any favours. I recently picked up NFS Heat and think it runs better imo, but it does use up a lot of cores.

I like that a lot, and I agree Mini ITX was my initial intention but never quite researched the market to see what good cases are about and what motherboard to go with. As for the monitor, I agree however it would bump the budget by at least another £100 or so, and 24 inch is overkill for them as this PC in all honestly will not see that much use (they have a laptop and an iPad...). Ah yes m.2, totally forgot... haha. Many thanks bud, what other good looking cases are there, just thinking about aesthetics and silent operation in mind as this system will not generate much heat?

I buy a lot of things used, my entire secondary PC has been purchased through forums or ebay, and I've saved quite a few hundred doing that. Buying used does not mean you ll get scammed, but as you said you just need to be careful who you buy from. On ebay I would not buy from people with low amount of sales/rating, and also I expect over 95% rating too. That way it ensures a sale is more likely to go through without any hassle. That said, if you ever get scammed and you pay through Paypal, you will get your money back pretty much instantly once you open up a case. Then paypal will go investigate the seller ect. Let me take a look online and see what I can find for you to give you an example. If we are talking NEW, then you won't get anything for £400 that will do 40fps on GTA 5, not that I know of anyway. 720p is not a hard res to run though, so perhaps in the used market there will be some Acer/Asus/MSI variants that will have something like a GTX M series card.

Yeah it's a bright red LED, definitely does not go with my purple and black theme haha. I was thinking of going the tape method if I can't find anything else in the BIOS. There is also an annoying orange light too near the Sata connections, but it's small and pretty dim.

How do you go about disabling the Q Code LED on gigabyte boards? My previous Asus board had an option in the BIOS but after spending an hour going through the gigabyte BIOS and the User Manual I can't find anything This is in regards to the Z390 Master Thanks

Hey LTT, I have had a set of 2x8GB Trident Z RGB sticks for over a year now and have decided to upgrade that with another 2x8 kit. I ordered the same model from the same website and the sticks went in and work perfectly. The problem I have is the LEDs on the new sticks seem to be a slightly different shade of colour (regardless of colour but more obvious on certain ones like purple or lime green). The new kit is a tad darker compared to the old, Is this normal? Picture for reference: (it's not as obvious as in person). The left side are the old sticks.

Update: The front USB ports on the case seem to work fine... I will try every single rear port today and see if the issue continues on those. If it does, would that mean that the motherboard's rear ports are faulty? As for the USB Hub, sure it is a good idea but since the motherboard is less than a month old, I'd rather get a replacement so it works and then get the hub for ease of access. EDIT 2: Never mind, it is there again, all I had to do is turn up the volume past 50% and I can hear the static popping again... -.-

Hello LTT, I seem to have an issue with my newly built z390 platform. I am using AKG K7XX headphones which plug into a FiiO E10K DAC. That then plugs via USB into my motherboard (usually at the rear ports). The problem I have is in Discord when people talk to me, I can hear a faint static noise coming in the background. It doesn't happen anywhere else but in VOIP programs like Discord, TS3 ect. Now I have tried several ports, tried reinstalling all possible audio drivers and a few other "temp fixes" that I found online without avail. Also what is the DAC port about? Anyone else experience this or should I RMA the board? For the record I had no issues with my Asus Hero X before hand but needed the new mobo due to CPU upgrade. Thank you

TITAN V does not outperform a 2080-ti in any games. Not sure where you got that info from.

Every time you change something in a game's or 3D application settings, it writes a modified NvAPI to the GPUs L2 Cache (Or Dram however I think it's the cache since the DRAM resets itself when you restart PC). I tried writing API contexts to the L2 and guess what, the 3D applications started acting differently but here's the thing; whenever you close an application a global version of NvAPI must written into L2 Cache or in other terms flushed."
