    I have learn alot of these old dell pcs like to boot from cd. I have used usb disks before and I couldn't get them to always work. Make a linux cd and it should work. did for me.

    I was on a band trip to Disney World a couple years ago and I opened the overhead bin on the bus and my 4 month old Dell Windows Tablet that I overpayed for fell out and hit a guys leg. It dinted the keyboard dock I have on it. Also I think that is the reason why my shift keys only works half the time now because of that, so sometimes I carry around a wireless keyboard now with it.

    i heard asus and msi have some good alternatives. I've been looking for a capable laptop to buy soon so I have something decent when I'm away from my rig. (Right now I am using a Overpriced Dell Venue Tablet from 2014 as my "laptop" and I hate it in some ways).

    I've been using a EVGA 600B in my system since last July and it has worked fine for me. Also if you need inspiration, go look at Paul's Hardware or Bitwit and look at their build of the month. I would say @LinusTech but he doesn't do much build logs like he used to do a couple of years ago. I would like to see some build logs that people can actually afford make a come back at some point.

    Maybe see if you can fit a Kaby Lake CPU. A i5 7400 cost only $5 more. Also you could drop the GPU to a GTX 1060. Also go to like a h270 board.

    So I found one of the shirts that LMG sells on Tee Spring on Amazon for $20 instead of $28, so I ordered it and it showed up today.     They have to be the same CPUs or you can only have one cpu installed at a time.

    It would probably only work with one program or it would boot into the BIOS.

    Theoretically the OEMs could put SLI fingers on the card, but Nvidia would probably stop sending them GPU chips. This is probably a misprint in translation because Galax is a company in Asia.

    I run a 970 and a i5 6600 Skylake Xeon equalvant. I get 100+ FPS on 1080p gaming, so you are fine with the GPU for a few more years at least.
