  1. You can try the following stuff: Different keys on the Keyboard (F1, F2, F8, ESC, ) Different USB port (Maybe the one you're using is dead, maybe even the entire USB controller?) Different Keyboard (Some keyboards take so long to initialize themselves that the MOBO has already posted) Some X570 boards can boot without a CPU or RAM installed to flash the BIOS. Maybe try if you can enter it that way. One final thing: Usually, if you don't have any bootable medium inserted (be it an SSD with an OS on it, a bootable USB or anything else), the BIOS should open automatically.
  2. This sounds to me as if Windows is trying (and failing) to reset the GPU driver. Maybe try a reinstall of your GPU driver. It might also be your PSU. I have a Ryzen 3600X and a GTX 770 (i know, will upgrade soon :)) paired with a 500W 80+ Bronze PSU. I can't overclock my CPU even a little bit, the PSU simply can't supply enough power for that. You might be experiencing something similar. The CPU tries to boost when you start an intensive workload, the PSU can't deliver the required power and all hell breaks loose.
  3. This could be a RAM issue. Try running a few passes of Memtest86 on your machine. If none of them fail, your RAM is ok. If a pass fails you can swap your sticks of memory or only run the test with one stick installed (Assuming of course that you have multiple sticks). This should help you narrow down a faulty stick of RAM, if that is indeed the issue.
  4. No, there is no error in the title. The language is called R. So... We are currently using a language called R at one of my courses in college. We were given the task to calculate the contingency coefficient of two lists with the following command vcd::assocstats(table(x, y)) The problem is that when I try to execute that command I always get the following error and I don't have a clue what it means. > vcd::assocstats(table(list1, list2)) Error in sort.list(y) : 'x' must be atomic for 'sort.list' Have you called 'sort' on a list? I thought that atomic variables are for multi-threaded applications, but I don't use multiple threads (I don't think that R can even do that...). Or does the word atomic mean something different in R? Best regards, Rising Warrior
  5. Microsoft Edge isn't a bad browser at all. But that isn't the reason why not a lot of people use it. The reason is that they are already familiar with Chrome or Firefox. I won't switch to Edge either. Chrome is good enough for me.
  6. Turnip for what? https://vine.co/v/OqJKZVQami9
  7. Some of the material shown in this video was already available but there is also some stuff which just got leaked. I don't know how much we can trust this information, but it seems probable that Valve will attend this years E3. The guy in the video basically talks about the leaked intro for the Pre-E3 show which mentions Gabe Newell as one of the special guests. He then continues to a leaked slide which supposedly shows upcoming games for the Source 2 engine. The games mentioned are Left 4 Dead 3, a CS.GO port to Source 2 and, of course, Half-Life 3. Even though all of this sounds very amazing, you should take it with a grain of salt. Lets just cross our fingers and hope that at least some of this is true. The video is linked below for those who are interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7YNpRk9K7I
  8. Windows Sound Manager doesn't recognize them. I have also tried them on a Windows 8.1 machine and on a Ubuntu 14.10 machine. Both of them recognized that something was plugged in but thats it. I guess they are dead.
  9. Thanks for immediate response. I have cleaned the connectors but without success. But I like the idea of trying it on a linux-based machine. I usually have a linux-based os on my notebook, but I wanted to try the windows 10 tech preview. The only thing that I didn't do from that list was to do Windows updates. It didn't help though.
  10. I have got a little problem with my headset. I have turned on my PC this morning just to find out that my headset (Crosshair Vengance 1500) doesn't work anymore. I have already plugged it into a different USB-Port and even into another PC, but it still wouldn't work. On both my PC and my notebook it showed error code 43 in the device manager. I have also re-installed the drivers and software in their latest version for it and it didn't help either. Running the PC in save mode also didn't help so I assume that it isn't a software issue. The PC runs on Windows 7 x64, the notebook runs on Windows 10 x64. The headset had served me well for over a year now but now I don't know what I should do.
