I was looking at the dell u2412h which is a 24 inch IPS monitor.

The first picture on Amazon is incorrect. The other pictures look like the one on new egg.

I usually start with finding the Max core clock then raising the memory clock on my 6850 afterwards

As long as its ddr3 it won't affect performance much in this case. Corsair, Kingston and crucial are some of the most used.

Ddr2 ram won't work, you need ddr3 ram

You could go the power line adapter route, it'll be around the same price but you'll probably get better performance. I'm using a tp link pa411 kit ATM
