  1. I'm not very protective of my data, tbh... At least not about the kind of data that would be stored in the Cloud. I don't think I lose much letting people store my data for me. I know I'm not the norm, but I also think people overreact about data privacy. That being said, I always back up my data in my local storage at home. I still use Google Photos (now) because it's the default Gallery on my phone, and it's really convenient TBH. I can switch phones and have all my data up and running in a couple of minutes
  2. I'll answer myself: https://i.mi.com/announcement/stop_service Apparently this was a thing since last year. Xiaomi is migrating their Gallery sync service to Google Photos, so they had a roadmap for the migration. We are right now at the end of the line, right before everything gets deleted. Go into i.mi.com and download your data before it gets deleted!
  3. Hey guys! Yesterday I remembered I had some pictures on the Xiaomi Mi Cloud thing and went back to check what was there. Turns out they didn't let me see the content and asked me to download everything before June 17th or I'd lose that forever. They bundle the content in a single file and after a while you go in again and download it at once (at least that's convenient). I wonder if it's just me because I switched to another brand or is the whole service shutting down? Has anyone had this happen?
  4. One letter can be the memory chip manufacturer, so effectively (although they look the same) they are completely different ram sticks.
  5. Did you have an XMP profile applied to your old kit? Did you set the default values before installing the new kit? I'd try that. If your old kit is not available right now, you could always attempt clearing the CMOS. (refer to your motherboard's manual to know how, or search this forum )
  6. Too many tinkerers in this forum. 75°C it's perfectly adequate for full load CPU on a hot environment. You started suggesting drastic changes before you even asked the OP if he changed the fan curve. Some default fan curves are leaning more to silence than performance, so the temps can easily reach 75°C by design. Again, specially in a hot ambient temp. We don't even know what case and fan config he is using. It may be a very airflow restricted case.
  7. First off, go to the Motherboard website and search for the "memory support list" for your specific model. There search for the exact SKU of your memory kit. Then come back and tell us if it's there. If it's listed, the XMP profile should work. If not, you may have to manually OC the kit to the highest stable frequency.
  8. The max speeds i was able to get with a Vengeance RGB Pro 3600Mhz 2x8 kit was 3533Mhz CL17 on an B450 Aorus Pro Wifi. If I set the XMP profile or manually OC to 3600, it doesn't boot and reverts the BIOS to default values (a few times it managed to post, but never got into Windows). My ram kit isn't listed on the QVL either. These kits are made with different memory chip brands, so often only one letter changes on the SKUs, but they're different memories effectively. Mine seem to be Micron chips. I guess my mobo doesn't like them.
  9. That phone looks great! I really like the dual frontal speakers
  10. Very nice! I'm currently using a simple Microsoft Keyboard Wired 600, a Microsoft Sidewinder X3 mouse, and a nice HyperX Cloud headset. This would be a nice way to replace my peripherals
  11. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=redmi+note+3&_sacat=0 I have one, and it's amazing (I have the 3Gb/32Gb version with SD 650 processor)
  12. Just to be sure, you could switch the cards (interchange slots) and test them again with the same game, so you can rule out a hardware issue.
  13. I have an Nvidia GTX 960, its OK, but l'm an AMD kind of guy. I'm rocking an AMD FX 8350, and would like to pair it with a nice card from the same family ?
  14. You can track your phone, block it or wipe it using your google account via web, you don't need any extra software. IMO, antivirus in a mobile device will only help depleting your battery faster.
