I have 4 SATA ports. 1 has my 480GB SSD, the other has my aging 5400 RPM WD Green 2TB HDD, the last one has a standard optical drive in it.

I need to replace the HDD simply because its like almost 9 years old but I also want to expand my storage a little but.

I was thinking of replacing the 2TB with a 2TB Seagate 7200rpm Barracuda, but idk if I should get a SATA SSD to fill up the last slot. My 480GB boot SSD only has like 98GB Free so its pretty full.

what is wrong with a 9 year old drive? as long as it's not storing any critical data (i still use a WD Green from 2009 for my steam library) it's totally ok.

Well currently it is storing data that I would very much rather not lose. I have a sizable movie library as well as other media that isn’t replaceable.

get that stuff of off there as fast as you can in that case, but i'd keep that drive around for games as it's perfectly suitable for that.
