okay just to point out i'm not trying to say which is best 970 sli or 1070 trying to figure out which is best cost per performance in the uk a 1070 is £450 second hand 970 are around £150 and i have the overhead in my rig to support it so what should i do. and please no just keep saving answers

yes a single 1070 would be best but i'm a student so i'm looking for best band for buck upgrade to get my fps up

the trouble is how to justify the extra £150 that it would cost assuming i can get a good price for my 970

cooling isn't an issue and my flat uses electricity for radiators so heat is pretty useful just don't have to turn my radiators on all of this is in a h440 with some solid air flow

So my current rig is a 4790k 16gb ddr3 and a gtx 970 and an evga 650 g2 psu and an msi g5 mother board. The issue i'm having is i went up to 1440p and the latest games coming out tomb raider ashes i'm having trouble keeping 60fps at higher settings and just wondering if it would be worth upgrading to a 1070 or if i should grad a second hand gtx 970 and sli to get my fps up not foreseeing a monitor upgrade so going to be at 1440p for a while which should i do help me ltt community the internet sucks for answering this

I'm using a really bad wireless business class Microsoft comfort 5000 mouse and keyboard along with the intergrated speakers in my monitor for my preferal setup terrible i know trying to save up to get a better setup. Looks like a good giveaway keep making the great vidoes LTT

Currently using a gtx 970 with a samsung 850t Qhd monitor whihc does surport HDR you even showed on in the vidoe where the give away was announced, Haven't upgraded to an amd card in the past due to the increased power consumption for the performance benefits, But i have a black and red themed computer so amd would match up very nicely with the current theme. I could also use the amd along side the 970 in my pc for things like folding at home and also just because it would be kinda nuts. keep making the great videos LTT

Amazing and cool gadget would be great for movies with friends and perfect for a small uni flat with a blank white wall. -
i have 2 green drive same type one buzzes one does not and it's not s light buzz it's the loudest thing at startup can hear it above fans and pump startup

my wdd green is making a buzzing noise on system startup every time and i'm worried about what the hell this is there are important documents on that drive. should i replace the drive or is it fine

So I just did an overclock on my computer its stable and validated for 12 hours but that isn't the issue when i look in task manager it is giving me a cpu frequency that is the exact frequency i overclcoked over stock but added all on one core so if i overlcock by 0.1 ghz on all cores it adds on 0.4 ghz to the max frequency does anyone know the solution to this problem?

Sorry if this seems like a rookie question to ask but i just bought a new wd green hard drive and was slightly worried when i was moving all my video files over to it an saw that the response time was 1000ms is this normal when writing large amount of data continuously to the drive about 500gb of video files ranging from 2gb to 20gb in size or do i need to return the drive ? an answer would greatly put my mind at ease thank you
