  1. I have bit doubt that it would be 1Gb with system managed. Windows default has been 50% of system memory for ages.
  2. -> Moved to PC Gaming Making thread seeking for validation or random flexing isn't really respectful for others. If you have real performance issues, please describe then in detail. Most issues are software related as in drivers.
  3. This depends highly on country and legislation. US or similar, sure. But in Finland for example, it's just paperwork and there are templates and guides for it. Ofc if you haven't ever done any such official paperwork, then using professional is option. But there also here banks offer such service besides law firms.
  4. For question 1, this depends bit on where you live. In general, you dp business directly with banks, insurance companies etc. If you aren't family, you need to have written approval of all family members that are counted as close relatives (parents or other legal guardians, siblings, children). Local legislation states who is "in charge" of the process and up until what point. For example banks will transfer ownership or control of accounts to person/group who has legal rights to handle it. If it's group, any subsequent actions will require approval from all members of said group (we have this going on for my grandma's estate). For two, physical media is easiest, but if any of them already has cloud service, use that. Easy to access, hard to mess up permanently.
  5. -> Moved to Off Topic Latest edition of forum feature guides are these: From moderation perspective the two biggest tips are: We have Edit feature. Use it rather than posting again if no one has replied. When replying to more than one post, use Multiquote (two arrows with plus) to collect posts first and then reply all at once.
  6. *** Thread locked *** Please continue discussing in previous thread.
  7. -> Moved to CPUs, Motherboards and Memory Also edited to title to be more descriptive. We don't allow X vs Y threads, such as Intel vs AMD. But you can ask question with something realistic. Like which CPU would be better for your chosen workload.
  8. Like I said, they are humans doing human things, and unless it's systematic error, there might not be good solutions.
  9. Doesn't matter. Rule is that breaking DRM is piracy. Regardless of what the situation is. You will find bunch of other sites if that's what you are into. Only if developers or other copyright holders have stated it to be fine, then it's fine. But as with other things like this, in terms of moderation, blanket bans are easier than picking and choosing.
  10. I'm not gonna nuke it. Just moving to General Discussion as the product has been a sponsor for prominent channels in past.
  11. Point of this thread is to show your personal workstation. While your pictures are nice, thats about all they are. Unless we see rest of your setup that goes with those. This thread is not for showing off comissioned builds.
  12. Quick note at this point. The topic of discussion is Tiktok lawsuit against US governments actions. Don't sway off to other things, otherwise this will be locked. That includes irrelevant social things and politics.
  13. If you watch the clip onwards, Linus mentions about paying for it.
  14. @Ryme, I don't see any recent content from LMG that would have Insta360 as sponsor/showcase. Can you provide link to recent content that has promoted their stuff? Latest video I can find is year ago. This section is for current sponsors.
  15. To both of these, its bit in between. Sharing sources as in linking to ROMs is not allowed. Sharing guides or helping on essentially breaking DRM is not allowed. Talking about abandonware in general, like what is and what isn't, talking about sites which claim to list these, linking to Internet Archive. Those are fine. The problem with abandonware is that unless developer confirms it or releases the code, its claim made by someone. I could claim that GTA1 is abandonware, but Rockstar might think otherwise.
  16. Its more up to date than this https://geni.us/lttsponsors (also missing Razer). I'll wait confirmation on LMGs side since those are the only resources I have.
  17. Best approach is to approach those who already know how its done. So Free Geek. Not LMG, and not Linus. They are media company. So when they are done with their equipment, it goes to those recycling companies. And what you see in the videos about Free Geek is just the surface. So all things considered, you are best to contact FreeGeek about things. Not their model, but about things they need to take into account when doing business.
  18. https://storefront.throne.com/linusmediagroup/sponsors-affiliates-partners this seems to be the current main list of sponsors (can be found in video descriptions). No Razer there. I will wait for confirmation from LMG before moving this out.
  19. Forum moderation and discord moderation are handled mainly by different people. So we can't help on anything that happens on Discord.
  20. I agree on the notion. However, since "free speech" and "human rights" or something is commonly used as reasoning on why we shouldn't have right to enforce set rules, thats the counter to that. Freedom of expression laws don't apply. But neither should or in cases even is legal for any company to enforce rules or conditions that would silence or discriminate certain groups.
  21. Yes. Does anyone care? Nope. Private platform and rules visible to anyone who bothers to read. You don't follow rules, we censor.
  22. "near future" does not mean 6 months in LMG timescale. It's more like 1-3 years.
  23. Can you be bit more specific? I looked at 3 latest videos. All have threads linked. As for "posting late", threads are actually made early and stay hidden until release time. At times, LMG staff forgets to set these up properly. This is what you see as delays. Just human errors. WAN Show and other livestreams don't have threads. Neither any sister channels apart from Techlinked.
  24. @PastaPain, as your other Tech News topics, this also lacks the content required to comply with Tech News guidelines. Please fix the thread and it can be moved back to Tech News.
  25. @PastaPain, this thread has been moved to General Discussion. Please add more content to your summary and personal thoughts to comply with Tech News guidelines. Also, note that there's still some parts of the Tech News template left in your post.
