  1. Fine, but I still don't know why. I watch it because I think that the slice of life comedy is funny, the voice acting is nice, the animation quality (more so in the second and third season) is superb, the characters are complex, and I love the fan content. Brony is a tittle just like furry, it just means that you like something. Definitely not a license to go around being pests. A high quality rip of all three seasons would be around 50GB by my estimation. Brony can be a hardcore or casual watcher (I fall towards the hardcore side), it's just identifying with a fandom. I personally don't love the first few episodes of the show (first three), they're not bad by any stretch of the imagination but they aren't as good as the normal slice of life content. I enjoy it for the same reasons I'd enjoy any other cartoon/anime as I've listed in another response in this post, but the reason it's such a big deal to me is fan content. I probably like Friendship is Witchcraft (an MLP abridged series) more than I like the actual show, or fan music like or more than I like the music in the show. The community and content that the show inspires make it stand out as more than a great show. lelz
  2. PewDiePie fans* I think you meant. The same reason console fans are 'such dicks'; there are so many pewdiepie fans that some of them are going to be annoying/bad people, the ones that you are often exposed to are the biggest dicks. The biggest dicks are more recognized than normal well meaning people because they don't stand out. How? this doesn't count towards my post count since it's in off topic right?
  3. No, I can't stand it. I tend to stay pretty far away from any furry stuff; it's always grossed me out a little (no offense intended).
  4. Yes, yes it is. I don't think being childish is a downside quite honestly.
  5. I thought doing an AMA would be fun, and I figured that Bronies are pretty well despised so that would be a good one to try out. If you're asking why I like My Little Pony it's a very long story. The short version is that I've been big into cartoons and anime for as long as I can remember; when everyone told me I had to try MLP I did. I liked the show, and I fell in love with many of the cool content producers in the fandom. I've been watching tons of MLP (probably more fan content than official content)since.
  6. On DVD, downloaded from Itunes, on Blu-Ray? You have to specify.
  7. I'm not sure I can answer that as a question, as you're obviously fairly informed. I do try my best to force my opinions down others throats when I'm talking personal philosophy, but I'd never do that for media of any kind.
  8. Well, I personally enjoy his opinions, jokes, and reactions as they are displayed in a video. I find that he often brings light childish humor to more serious stories (The Walking Dead, Heavy Rain, and The Last of Us would be good examples), and the connections he displays to characters is fun for me to watch.
  9. I'm trying to do the same thing as the other AMA I just posted (link: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/37533-ask-a-pewdiepie-fan-bro/ ). I'd like to help people understand my fan-base or tell people anything else anyone could want to hear from me.
  10. As the title says this is an AMA. I have been a big PewDiePie fan for quite around two years now (not before he became popular just long enough to know that I like most of his content), and I always see hate for him everywhere; can I do anything to clear up (or validate) misconceptions (or truths) about his content?
  11. The same could be said for any of the AMAs I've seen on the forum. For instance, there was a guy from Japan who did an AMA, and he's just a normal human like anyone else; the reason it's special is because some people don't have the perspective of someone who has a different sexuality than them or the perspective of someone who lived in Japan.
  12. Got it, thanks for explaining.
  13. CPU doesn't say it supports it; how do you know it will be able to take advantage of it?
  14. There will be no noticeable (probably none at all) benefit to getting a higher memory speed (if you're a gaming). The only advantage you would get by upgrading to this kit would be having more memory. Also, if your CPU isn't compatible with +1333, as your board is, you can just under-clock them slightly and try for tighter timings. I looked here: http://www.techreaction.net/forums/intel/6892-core-i5-661-ram-frequency.html to see if your CPU would use 1600MHz memory and I believeit will.
  15. Conflicting benchmarks are always an issue, but I'd personally rather shaky real world benchmarks than canned benchmark software (that could just as easily be bribed by Intel or AMD to show their products performing better). We live in the real world; if the one chip is faster in a full synthetic multi-threaded benchmark, and the other is better in 25 of the leading 30 software applications that the chip would be used in the latter is the more appropriate chip to buy.
  16. I once looked up a list of games that allowed you to make monetized let's plays of them, and (its tons of games) they also specified a source and whether you need written permission first. When I get home I'll find the list and add a link to this post. Edit: Here's the link http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/1egayn/lets_build_a_list_of_game_studios_that_allow/?limit=500
  17. I use (an older Naga at) 1800dpi. My sensitivity in games ranges from 0.5 to 3.
  18. They talked about how they plan on dividing the stream up into separate streams at separate times which is what I think would make the most people happy. They should have a: classic livestream where Linus and Slick cover tech news topics(and opinions about those topics), Q and A tech/everything show(using Comms and Twitter), and a game streaming show where they are totally unprofessional and silly (tech/pop and viewer interaction should share the spotlight 50/50 with gaming. Like everyone else, just how I would like it.
  19. Any informed sense of justice is merciful. So justice.
  20. GTA 4 FTL I already have most of the stuff on sale that looks interesting, but my friends always recommend FTL and Roosterteeth's let's plays have made me want to play GTA4.
  21. I've already said it in this thread but anonymous isn't the group responsible for PSN going down it was the tiny tight knit hacker group LulzSec. Also just because someone is associated with a group doesn't mean they directly supported something someone in that group did. For example, I'm a member of the LTT community, but if someone else involved hacked Valve and took steam offline for a week I wouldn't be responsible.
  22. The original entity anonymous is just a bunch of retards from /b/ fucking around online. What you describe it becoming is essentially what it originally was but more public and popular (cool maybe)
