  1. Favourite part has to be those gorgeous bezels. Gives the phone such a clean, elegant look.
  2. I love how $250 is such a big deal for such a good router. For Australia that is crazy cheap. A Netgear R7000 is $319 here... and $200 on Newegg. Thanks Australian price gouging!
  3. Omg yes! I'm not the only one! I can't get enough of the smell of new devices. It's such a distinct, awesome smell
  4. Haha true! Anyway i ended up finding an NZB on usenet of the image so i downloaded it from there. Worked like a charm! But what i want to know is how to obtain a legitimate copy of Mavericks if that's even possible. Because i might sell it and i dont want to sell something illegal. Although it has updated fine to 10.9.1 and there is nothing that says it's not legit as far as i can tell. Anyway I don't expect a response on a PC forum. Ive posted to the little Mac bitches over at mac-forums.com. Jeez there are some stuck up little shits there, but what more can one expect from a diehard mac user? Cheers!
  5. They're all getting them from the Mac App Store, which i obviously don't have access to on a Windows PC. My dad has a Mac from his work but I doubt he'll let me touch it because he thinks I'll break it or something. I have found a torrent but it's 5.6GB and barely any seeders so it will probably take forever.
  6. Hi all, So I've acquired a MacBook Pro A1286 (no I didn't steal it) with no hard drive in it. So i need some sort of image to download and put onto a hard drive that will allow me to boot into OSX or something. I tried a drive with a Windows 8 image on it but while the Mac didn't have a flashing folder with a question mark (like it does without a drive), it had a flashing cursor for a few seconds in the top left then went to a black (but still on) screen and didn't do much after that. Searches on Google have yielded how to create bootable OSX images, but they all start with having a working OSX OS. I have none of that. Surely this isn't a unique situation? Cheers guys, Christian
  7. The Moto G is a good phone, although remember it's a budget phone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFD0Nm2dOHw If you want a good phone and don't mind spending a little bit extra perhaps a Nexus 5?
  8. I get what you're saying, but I'm talking about the future when things are... faster
  9. Haha this is my school exactly. Bloody 4:3 1024x768, makes the teachers' laptops go in 4:3, and they're all to stupid to use extend mode when it would be perfect for the situation
  10. Yes but it is disk based. You damage the disc and it's gone. Also, it's inconvenient and somewhat environmentally unfriendly having to produce disks (although perhaps servers etc. match the environmental impact). What I'm saying is that streaming services should improve. They already are with Netflix announcing some 4K streaming next year. As internet improves and 4K TVs become the norm, physical media is going to have a hard time catching up with the file size restrictions.
  11. Dear god I hate that thing. I just can't understand why any person with any sort of grain of sense would purchase such a retina explosive vehicle. It is just so ugly! Why must it exist in a world where there are such beautiful things!! Arrgghhhhh
  12. Oh god that's awful. DVDs need to die. Well all physical media does. Perhaps then Abbott will see the point in an NBN (for those Aussies that know what I'm talking about)
  13. This sir, is legendary! I want to do this when I get a car (hopefully next year if I make the 120 hours, I'm 17). However not sure if it will fit in the car I want, an Audi A4 from early 2000's. What I was also worried about is the law regarding this kind of stuff. Are P platers allowed to use in dash GPS and stuff like that? I know they can't use a phone whatsoever, no Bluetooth, dash mounts, nothing which really sucks. So it seems risky. Hopefully any cops inspecting aren't tech savvy enough to spot a Nexus 7! Anyway this is awesome and I will hopefully be back here in a year or so to do it to my own car if possible.
  14. Well I've set local media to play at 20Mbps and have tried with hardware acceleration being both on and off but no luck. I'm still stuck with the unwatchable video. So disappointed
