If you invest wisely and have a diverse portfolio the risks are still there but you make it sound like it will kill you. Yes, people have lost everything on the stock market. Yes, people have won everything on the stock market. But, at the end of the day for the past 90 years the stock market has been growing at an average of 11% a year.
Yeah, I currently only have one investment and that's in Southwest Airlines. I bought it when it was at $20 now it's at $45. I recommend reading a book about investments (The Motley Fool has some good books). I'm looking into AMD as well, funnily enough. It's in a terrible financial situation making it a very risky buy. But, if Zen and Greenland succeed you'll be raking in cash. It's either boom or bust. So, yeah. I had to put in my opinion because from the other posts it made it sound that investing was worse than getting the plague.
