  1. So, what do you look for in a phone? 1. Operating System (something flexible, but fluid, smooth, and easy to learn). 2. Camera (self explanatory) 3. Display (A nice 1080p display is fine by my standards.) 4. Speakers (self explanatory) 5. Elegant (nice to look at, nice to hold) 6. Touch ID (not that important to me but pretty cool) 7. Processor + GPU (I don't really need a powerful processor or GPU. I don't have a game on my phone and am confused what a really high end processor/gpu would do for one. 8. Storage (Over 16 gigabytes at least) This all factored into the price is what I look for in a phone. Name some other features you look for in a phone and tell me if you agree.
  2. A mutual fund won't have as much risk but also won't have as much reward. It also is impacted heavily by government issues. I placed a $160 investment. I also paid $10 as a commission fee. Investing $300 will already put you down 3.3%. Not pushing you away just don't expect to make huge gains. But, with AMD you may get huge gains.
  3. Nope, I invested when I was 13. If you invest wisely and have a diverse portfolio the risks are still there but you make it sound like it will kill you. Yes, people have lost everything on the stock market. Yes, people have won everything on the stock market. But, at the end of the day for the past 90 years the stock market has been growing at an average of 11% a year. Yeah, I currently only have one investment and that's in Southwest Airlines. I bought it when it was at $20 now it's at $45. I recommend reading a book about investments (The Motley Fool has some good books). I'm looking into AMD as well, funnily enough. It's in a terrible financial situation making it a very risky buy. But, if Zen and Greenland succeed you'll be raking in cash. It's either boom or bust. So, yeah. I had to put in my opinion because from the other posts it made it sound that investing was worse than getting the plague.
  4. Just got this: http://imgur.com/Qf09CQf Right in time, although I'm not really a big Star War's fan.
  5. Why fight a problem with more of what is causing the problem?
  6. Yeah, I've only invested once and it was a very small portion compared to the commission fee. I put $160 in LUV (southwest airlines) when it was at $20 a share. Now its $40 a share. I think a small investment in AMD has huge potential. Even if it does get bought that typically means a lot of money for investors. IPS?
  7. The point of this thread was to ask what your guys views on this processor is. Will you buy this processor if it is equal to Intel's performance? If it is higher? You are the tech community. If you are hyped about an upcoming product it will get more earnings.
  8. So, how well do you think Zen will do? I am really hoping it succeeds massively as #1 it will shake up the industry (more competition) and I'm thinking of investing in it. If Zen can throw Intel's manhandle on the industry I think the stock could soar. Good idea? Bad idea?
  9. I am typing this on a 2013 Macbook AIr so let me start by saying I'm not bias. Apple screws over ignorant people with branding and popular culture. Look what they did to many artists: "Hey. Yeah. Ummm, can I get use your music? For what? No for what? We're Apple, this should be an honor."
  10. I advise you not to. I've done a bit on CS GO lounge and basically got even. Don't put anything that means something to you in gambling. If you're not prepared to lose money don't do it. Treat gambling like giving away money.
  11. I really have no idea. Chess.com may have something for lessons. BTW, do you play in tournaments? I'm rated 1400 in USCF and I made a post asking if anyone on here played but no one did.
  12. New to this thread, but really interesting. It has probably been mentioned before but what will be the pricing on this?
  13. Too true. I don't think of myself exceptionally smart or born smart, but I was definitely ahead of my classmates in reading and math. Just read to your kids, have them read to you, and have them learn basic math. It really does help.
  14. Amazing. Everytime I come on to this forums I hope for an update. Can't wait to see finished result.
