  1. HELZ YEA IT IS.... ahem I mean it can be a great learning experience and some people find it to be a fun hobby. Yea the right tools can cost a little bit of money upfront but you will be glad you didn't cheap out on the tools. Also like guru said there is allot of shops now that will sell custom pre-crimped wires our shop does as well (mainframecustom.com and I sell them personally to anyone getting into the hobby) Also there is allot of shops that sell premium extensions made just for you, MFC gives a lifetime warranty on them as well. But if you are on a tight budget there is lots of premade solutions just make sure to check out the pictures of them and read what people say and make your own decision on them. If you need any other help please let me know.
  2. Please feel free to ask me any questions. Also please explain how you are not able to get them back in. it could be you sleeved them wrong and there is too much sleeve there or heatshrink. We will get you taken care of -lutro0
  3. Mainframecustom.com is the shop I sell goods through - we have been selling for a long time now and we offer pre crimped wires as well as one of the best crimpers on the market. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
  4. Thanks for the mention, I will be focusing more on custom sleeving here shortly and opening a custom sleeving only division. So keep on the lookout for that.
  5. Mainframecustom.com will do them and give you a great price . We have been making extensions longer then most and offer lifetime warranties. Most work is still done by Lutro0!
  6. The standard of extensions have always been 1ft. But they can be made any way you want @ Mainframecustom.com, work is done by lutro0!
  7. Modular for sleeving is a great choice. I would stick with the rm series or axi series for ease of sleeving.
  8. Mainframecustom.com will do them and give you a great price . We have been making extensions & OEM longer then most and offer lifetime warranties. Most work is still done by Lutro0!
  9. It depends on which ones you started with but shoot me a PM and I will get you sorted out. -lutro0
  10. Mainframecustom.com will do them and give you a great price on ww shipping. We have been making extensions longer then most and offer lifetime warranties. Most work is still done by Lutro0!
  11. For proper removal of the terminals sometimes you need to push the wire into the connector and then place the removal tool into the connector making sure its in all the way and then pull on the wire straight out. Sometimes you need to wrap it around your finger and some force is needed but if the tool is placed all the way in properly it will come out. Use the connector and your fingers as leverage. Let me know if you still need help.
  12. Sure do, both sata data and sata power:
  13. All yellow can go back into a yellow 12v spot, and all black can go back into a black ground spot. They can be moved around but they need to be put in the same spot for the voltage.
  14. ExitHD! Thanks so much for using us as your custom sleeving provider, you will indeed love them as many other have. For the full sleeving look using extensions I would suggest the following. I would get a 24pin - any eps cables (like an 8pin eps or 4pin eps) - any GPU Cables. Now those are the basics - if your sata data cables are noticable I would get those sleeved as well. Also If your sata power cable is visible I would get that done. The only other cables to think of would be if you have a 4pin molex showing or anything else. If you can show us a picture of your system and where you plan to put your cables I can tell you which ones exactly. But for the most part the first basic cables can be done while the rest can be hidden so that you dont have to purchase so many cables. The great thing about our cables and using extensions is we shape them perfectly for use in your system so the bend (rainbow) will bend perfectly for what ever setup you would like - you just need to let us know when you order. please feel free to pm me any questions you may have and enjoy your cables!
  15. Our extensions are not that expensive and they are priced for their quality. Each cable is hand made and comes with a lifetime warranty from a company that has been around longer than most so you know your warranty will be good for many years. The machine we use to cut and strip the wire guarantees a unparalleled accuracy in cable lengths and quality. We also offer great upgrade deals when you upgrade our computer. One of the biggest differences is getting a custom sleeved cable done by a shop with over 30 plus years plus combined experience, more than 1000k plus jobs under its belt, and numerous reviews and showcases done of their products VS companies that have just started out in this field and maybe have 3-4 years (if that) experience. Prices are here: http://mainframecustom.com/product-category/custom-sleeved-extensions/ As you can see they are very competitive and are done by people who have been sleeving for years and have been teaching sleeving for years as well. OEM Sleeving is expensive no matter where it's done (and if you find it super cheap I would be leary) unless it's done in a factory - but then factory sleeving has its quality issues. Custom Sleeving is one of those categories like many custom items that you get what you pay for, the quality feel and look is definitely noticeable when you get your hands on the cables. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
  16. This pic should explain why we use them - they organize the cables perfectly.

  18. since you have red light everywhere in your case I would get black and white sleeves as they will look the same and the white would pop more and the contrast would be better.
  19. We normally do full sleeving jobs but I could tackle a half sleeving job - however cablemod has some great prices on oems if you can find one that matches your psu
