  1. So I was about to buy an Asus PB278Q for around US$760 (prices are crazy for the US but normal here) but on my country's equivalent of pcpartpicker the Samsung U28D590D popped up for around US$725. It's been a while since I have experienced a TN panel, I currently have a LG 1080p IPS panel (dying) and a Korean 1440p monitor (pretty good for how much it was) So help me out guys and gals. Most of my PC activities outside work is media consumption and almost no gaming. I could really use the extra real estate for work but I find 1440p is good enough. Anyone has experience with the 4K monitor, is it good enough?
  2. I would go for the Shield tablet, right now the LTE version is not available but maybe if you feel like waiting a little bit you could get the LTE version
  3. I don't see the point of being able to easily take it out of the "dock", it's not going to be upgradable anyway, unless Google decided all the following Nexus 7 revisions will be the same dimensions.
  4. I was using this G Skill 32GB DSHC card on my camera and it suddenly stopped working. I plugged it into my PC and couldn't access any files or format it. How could I go about fixing this or is it dead? Cheers
  5. When you remove the paint the plastidip will come out as one piece. Unless you plan on cutting the stencils out
  6. Not a surprise at all, my mom's iphone 4 runs like a brick since iOS 7 came out
  7. I like the camera button and that it is waterproof
  8. It is better to buy Apple computers as close to launch as possible because they don't get price reductions like windows machines do I have no idea if by september you can expect a new release but if it is not urgent to buy now I would wait
  9. The 24 pin is the only cable using an extension. This power supply has a super annoying 24 pin layout and I don't have time to fully sleeve it. The PCI-E cable and the CPU 8 Pin are fully sleeved and both custom length As for the mess in the back, I'll work on it once the loop in done.
  10. Great news. My package arrived early, the XSPC Photon 270 is beautiful. I already installed it in the case and tomorrow I will be draining the system and bending the last piece or pieces of tube (not sure yet the final route) Maybe you guys can help me with this, but first some pictures How everything is mounted right now, super ghetto Twist tie master race Shiny Sleeved the LED cable with white paracord Now I would like you guys to help me choose how I will route the inlet of the reservoir There's number 1 And there's number 2, the bend at the bottom would be U shaped Mad paint skillzz
  11. Attach a power strip to the underside of your desk and plug everything there, then you only have 1 cable going to the wall.
  12. You could probably use some black plastidip on the chipset heatsink to cover the yellow logo
  13. Plasti Dip is awesome, I painted the bezels on my monitors matte black because they were glossy and got on my nerves. You got some really nice results One other thing, if you have a very clear edge on the thing you are painting and it doesn't touch the part you don't want painted, there is no need to mask anything, just paint everything and peel off the excess. And give at least 4 coats so it peels easily.
  14. I would go with these http://www.ebay.com/itm/200952566597 I buy all of my LEDs from that seller including light bulbs. If you have a soldering iron and a fan header lying around from an old fan you could wire it straight to the motherboard I personally bought a white LED strip, wired it to a switch on my 5.25 bay and then to a fan header I also had the NZXT Hue and I think is not worth the money, specially since I believe that white is the best case lighting color and you can't really get white with the HUE, just really light blue
  15. Thanks Yeah, I just ordered a cheap pci bracket with a DC fan control knob. I'll cut it and hide it somewhere.
  16. Had a Corsair HDD cage laying around but it was too tall to fit beneath the acrylic piece. So I took some strong scissors to it, yes, scissors. I need to clean up the edges. Fitment is temporary. I'll start posting smaller images, for the slower connections
  17. I'm curious to know how much do our community's PC weigh especially watercooled ones, because last year I built a custom loop inside a Caselabs SM8 and it ended up weighing 25 Kgs and considering this case is fully made of aluminium I was wondering how heavy something like a 900D could get.
  18. There's one day left on this deal. For those who want to play the game but hate paying full price Link
  19. I made myself a cupholder The plates scratch really easy though
