  1. The GPU will probably do fine in GTA5, but I don't know how the CPU will perform.
  2. If you get the i3 you can use Intel Quick Sync in OBS to offload the encoding to the iGPU.
  3. At least you acknowledge that it's a first world problem . I'd just be happy that it's not locked to 30fps like VVVVVV. That games is cool, but I cannot get past some of the levels with that enormous delay.
  4. Sounds like its more of an issue with Monitor, not the game.
  5. The GTX 660 can display up to 4k 60hz over Display port, and 4k 30-24hz over HDMI, so you should be fine. Unless it only has a VGA port, then its capped 2048x1536 Reference: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-660/specifications
  6. The smart pistol wasn't even that powerful against other players, but you could kill adds so fast that you were always one of the first to get your titan.
  7. Ya, I don't need them either and I wanted a small keyboard which is why I got the Quickfire Rapid.
  8. I have a Quick Fire Rapid in Browns. Its a nice keyboard, but it doesn't have a lot of fancy features like other gaming keyboards.
  9. This is what I don't get about this chart, only the Seagate 3TB drive has the ridiculously high failure rate. The 4TB is even lower than WD drives and the 1.5TB is only a few percent higher than the WD 3TB. So should this chart tell you to just avoid the 3TB, plus it doesn't even have any 1TB or 2TB drives on the chart which are by far the most popular drives for consumers. I know Linus has already covered that this chart means nothing for the average consumer, but I just so annoying that I keep seeing it pop up.
  10. Wish LG would make a Gsync version of this monitor. Or Nvidia to start supporting Freesync, which is unlikely.
  11. That's fine then, I didn't know you were willing to buy used. If that's the case either the 390 or 970 would do fine, just find which one you can get a better deal on.
  12. I think you miss read, he's running an i7 equivilant Xeon.
  13. Including California Tax, you're going to have to spend at least $350 if you want a 390 or 970. Otherwise you could fit a 380X within your budget.
  14. If you want the W7 search on W10 install Classic Shell. The search is way better than the stock W10 search. And you still get access to the W10 search along with Classic Shells W7 search.
  15. 260x will be slightly better than the 750, but the 750 will have similar power efficiently to the 750ti. A 750ti shouldn't be too hard to find and it only cost slightly more than the 750.
  16. The 750ti is probably the safest choice since it has lowest power consumption out of the two. Here's a chart on the cards power consumption http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-750-ti-review,3750-21.html
  17. From what I've read the LC powersupply is not recommended for gaming, but I do know that the 750ti is really lenient on power. You could try it and it could be perfectly fine, but it's always recommended to get a decent quality PSU.
  18. Out of those cards the 260x is the best. But, if you can get one within your budget, the 750ti is better. The 750(non ti) I think is still pretty close to the 260x though, so depending if you want the features or drivers it might be a good choice too.
  19. Damn guys, you know you stuff. I don't think I'll need the i7 or an aftermarket CPU cooler, as I won't be doing any overclocking. It seems like you all think getting a power supply with a lower max wattage isn't a problem, but I may want to get another card in the future, and then the i7 and all that would follow. I'd also like to keep the SSD at 500gb, just to allow extra fast boot times for various games and systems. I also really like the 300R case. Howabout the RAM? Do you guys think 8 is enough? 8gbs of ram should be fine, some newer games can take advantage of more ram, but if you ever need more it's pretty simple and easy to upgrade.
  20. Z97 motherboard is pointless unless you have a intel K processor and a 750 watt PSU isn't completely necessary, you can save some cash getting a 550 watt or 600 watt PSU
  21. My bad, I just skimmed through your original post real quick. Other than reinstalling and deleting all old files before you reinstall, I don't know any other fixes.
  22. What version of DSfix are you using. You can also try running without DSfix, running without DSfix isn't as bad as people make it seem like.
  23. Are you running unlocked fps (60fps)? I have had crashing issues when I unlocked the FPS. I don't remember how I fixed it though, I might have just deleted all of the Dark Souls files, reinstalled.
  24. I'm getting the exact same thing and people on Destructoid are reporting the same. Hopefully they fix it eventually.
