Well its been a while since I've seen a "vintage" or old PC thread, so Since I got an old computer of mine working, I decided to make a new one. So post your old shit (computers new enough to run Windows XP and later are not allowed, since those are not "old" )
BEHOLD: the Franken-386
I picked this up at a thrift store for $5 a few weeks back, but it had no power cable. So what did I do? take an old shitty thermaltake semi-modular PSU and solder the 5v and ground wires from one of the cables onto the battery terminals of this machine and we have a working 386SX computer When I'm done using it, I can just unplug its cable from the PSU and stuff it in the battery area.
This little laptop packs a 386SX 20mhz with 2mb of RAM, a 40mb IDE HDD, a 256k VGA adapter and a modem. Of course it has a 640x480 monochrome display but you can hook it up to a monitor and it has excellent CGA emulation. It also runs MS-DOS 3.3
