  1. You need DisplayPort or Dual link DVI.
  2. The last WHQL certified driver that AMD released was 15.7.1 Any driver released after this is considered beta (uncertified) But ya, your card is dead I don't think even WHQL drivers can save it.
  3. Most people suggest that you get the single most power GPU in your budget and later down the line when you feel that you need the extra juice you can throw in another card (Or upgrade). Also if you play a lot of day 1 games, then running crossfire or SLI is not really ideal as most of those games don't have profiles yet usually. But in terms of Crossfire vs SLI, usually crossfire scales better.
  4. The R9 390 overclocks like butt. So imo I would wait and see how well the third party boards overclock first.
  5. Try getting a UPS to clean up the power, only way I can think of to get rid of coilwhine from dirty power.
  6. Well, Freesync doesn't work with Nvidia cards so ether you get a G-Sync monitor or a high refresh rate monitor without G-sync. Or get a freesync monitor and change to an AMD card later down the line.
  7. To download the app, yes. But it should work offline, I use it all the time when I go to the states and I never bother getting a roaming plan.
  8. Both of my AIOs do that too, its just the air bubbles passing through the pump. Worry when the gurgling noise is constant and it also have grinding noises, then you might have a dead pump.
  9. Most phones comes with a built in gps, you just need to get an app that can use it like Navmii GPS World (Navfree) or something.
  10. Overclocking anything will degrade it's life. Generally if you want to keep something for a long time you want to just keep it at the components optimal stock. But if you don't really care how long the monitor last then keep the overclock.

    Monitor

Personally I would take 1440p @ 144Hz with Freesync/GSync over a 4K with Freesync/Gsync. The higher refresh rate IMO worth more then the higher resolution, but getting ether choice of monitors would require a beefy gpu depending on your games. (Freesync/Gsync is nice but the price premium is ugh) You should also post your specs so the people reading this knows if your computer has the power to run it optimally.
  12. Razer BlackWidow Elite 2013 Edition and Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum.
  13. When I installed my DRP3 in my other PC, all I did was just lay my pc down on it's side on top of 2 boxes so I could work on it like on cars underbody and tightened the screws that way. As long as everything is lined up when you do that it should just required a couple turns of the screw driver.
  14. Well, if your only playing on a single 1080p monitor @ 1080p then the 980ti should be more then enough to get a stable 60fps. (I'm assuming your monitor is 60Hz)
  15. The 1080 outperforms the 980ti by about 20-25% (give or take), so if the price gap is bigger then that I would get the 980ti as the 1080 wouldn't be as compelling of a value if we are taking about (insert currency) per frame.
  16. Well, I wouldn't say 40%, it's more like 20-25% in most of the gaming benchmarks. Still quite the large margin though, but even if the RX 480 performs like a R9 390x that's not bad considering the msrp is only going to be like $200 (usd) (Plus it's going to consume less power, and going to be smaller to).
  17. I get about 80-90fps on Overwatch @4k with all the settings on max (Minus the AA) on a single R9 390 so I'm assuming the RX 480 should perform similar based on these leaked benchmarks.
  18. I'm assuming you have them plugged into the motherboard, would just control the fans using DC instead of a PWM signal. So try going into your bios or use speedfan and slow them or put them in a set RPM and see if that removes the noise. (Side note: Personally I like using PWM fans because it allows you to spin them at a lower RPM.)
  19. Well, unless you have the fan speeds locked at a set RPM they should ramp up and down depending on your temps.
  20. It's probably just noise from the fans trying to draw air from the front and back instead of the top, because the magnetic cover is not mesh (I'm assuming).
  21. What low noise adapter are you using? If it's a three pin it might not work on the PWM header as the 3-pin header lacks the PWM signal wire. So you have to run the 3-pin fans on dc for the fan control to work.
  22. Depends if you overclock. At stock speeds they perform about the same (+ or - 1C), but once you start putting some voltage in the AIO will remove the heat faster.
  23. I'm jelly of your American pricing, in Canada I can buy 2 of those cards in America with the price of one here.
  24. I would leave the back 120mm as an exhaust, unless you get a nice magnetic filter and flip the fans on the heatsink so its pulling the air from the rear intake instead of the front. If you can't find a filter I would just leave it as an exhaust because dust would be an issue.
  25. Does the fam have a slower RPM limit? Or is it the same as the other fans?
