Thats super unfortunate! Thanks so much for looking into it for me so thoroughly! It must have been a lot of effort for you! Here is my solution... Im going to go out and buy a replacement side window and give it a shot, as my current is already scratched... so consider the scratched one a sort of experiment! So sorry i didnt get back to you sooner, I have been in DEEP with study Will reply back to this topic with updates soon
-
Thanks! At my UNI they have a technology department where I can get it done for free
-
Hey there! Was just wondering if anybody here had some previous experience with etching their side windows? Will pots pics after advice, am doing a Back to the Future themed build! Thanks guys
-
Thats exactly what im going for! Probably a bit lower, but yeah! Now i have a photo to go off of! Thanks man!

There are 2 ssd slots on the shroud... maybe I could use one of those? Also, I still have a problem with getting the bracket made... would 3D printing one be enough? I have access to one
-
You could maybe use that money (in real life) and get your side panel lasercut? Just engraved... not fully done. Thats what I am going to do!
-
Wowsers... you did a very good job with that diagram! Sorry for my noobiness but how would i go about making / getting one of these AND how would I attach it to my case? Thanks so much!

Just thought I would drop in and introduce myself along with all the others here in the lounge! I have been coding for maybe 2 years now? Tried my hand in quite a few things, but only really settled down in C++ around March of this year, coding for a side project mod for Terraria! Its tonnes of fun and I have made a few friends along the way I was looking to get into Java, however havent really had the chance. Looking forward to studying IT in university!

IMO I have a friend who has the 6300 and he loves it... The only problem I can see is the GPU... Reckon you could push that up to something better? Like an r9 280? Mine is overclocked and runs everything like a breeze (eg witcher 3 medium 1080p 60fps)

I do agree. I have had more success with Afterburner than with Precision X... Also, did a bit of research into overlays for you... Have a look at CAM by NZXT... They have a nice overlay / system monitoring program which might be what you are looking for in terms of seeing temps / fan speeds / load

Definitely... Go check this thread for further posts http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/423339-gpu-mounted-parallel-to-motherboard/

(This post has been moved from the graphics card section so I might be able to get more help ) Hey everyone! Was thinking of doing some modding to my NZXT H440 and had some ideas... I am going to get my side panel (acrylic) engraved, and thought to myself, why not go full out? I have been reading around about having a pci e riser (?) so that you can turn the GPU on its side, so the full beauty of the card can be exposed. Oviously, this would be difficult due to the brackets for the card not lining up (duh) with the gpu in its new position... I was wondering if anyone has done something like this / there is something I can do to try and have the GPU supported in its sideway position... without it looking too sketchy... THANKS GUYS! PROGRESS SO FAR: CHALLENGES: Mounting a bracket to the PSU shroud Making sure I dont short out everything Making sure the card has enough support If anybody has solutions to these problems please reply!
-
I agree... Would there be any worry about shorting out the card considering the bracket for the GPU to sit on would be directly connected to the PSU shroud? I might go ahead and move this to modding... Might have a little more help! Thanks so much!
-
Sorry about that...
-
I do apologize... Should I move the thread? EDIT: Thanks for the great info. That would definitely work! Just there are SSD slots in the way (On top of the PSU shroud...). I would probably have to find a good way to mount the PCI E bracket onto the shroud if I wanted.... Getting the PCI E cable down to the bottom wouldnt be a problem!
