I just got done watching a Techquickie video about the qwerty keyboard vs the Dvorak keyboard (If you havent seen the video then you probably have no idea what im talking about) which got me thinking, do they have any company's actively producing keyboards with a Dvorak layout? In these situations Google is a dear friend of mine.
To my surprise the answer is yes! There is a company called "Matias" which I've never heard of until today. They produce all sorts of funky keyboards that range anywhere from AES encrypted wireless keyboards to "The Worlds Quietest Keyboard" to Folding keyboards. They're advertising their Dvorak keyboard as a "Faster, more comfortable experience", and the way I see it, with a $100 price tag, it must be more comfortable using the keyboard, due to sitting on a thinner wallet. Thats a pretty ridiculous price to pay considering the only differences between a standard qwerty keyboard and their keyboard is a "Layout Selection" key which switches the layout to a qwerty keyboard, and at the top right of every key is the normal qwerty keyboard legends.
With all of that in mind I have two questions to ask all of you:
1. Would you buy Mistas Dvorak Keyboard at the price of $100?
2. Would you ever use a Dvorak Keyboard in your daily tasks?
The only way I would ever get this keyboard is if I convinced my health insurance to invest in me by purchasing me the keyboard to lower the risk of carpal tunnel and RSI due to less movement when typing.
