  1. What is RAM timing, what is the difference between 9-9-9 or 12-4-12 etc?
  2. Thank you all for the help, i am going with Beeeyeee's middle suggestion, the Core i5 6500 setup. after thinking about it, i am spending more, but it will get me to an up to date platform with greater upgradability down the line. Plus who dont love a quad core with some DDR4 memory.
  3. Hello, i have a MSI H61M-E33 (B3) (socket 1155) motherboard, 8GB of DDR3 1333 Mhz RAM, Pentium G2030 3.0 GHz dual core processor and an EVGA GTX 560 Ti graphics card. i am into first person shooters and i use AutoCAD 2015, Inventor and Revit. I was wondering if it is worth the money to upgrade to a better cpu, and if so, which one. or if i should buy a whole new platform. thank you
  4. How do you choose the video quality on Vessel? Like to watch a video in 4k? never mind, that last post kind of answered my question.
  5. My Vessel account name is Quakeman2188 and here are my links to the videos: I really hope i win something! lol https://www.vessel.com/videos/JemZ8O7Hy https://www.vessel.com/videos/LCoY5zfFf
  6. I run a Lenovo k450e. I didnt really bulid my beast of a desktop per say, i just upgraded the heck out of it a few months later. But it runs as good as any mid range computer out there. i just probably spent to much! lol I already promised my self my next PC will be fully custom built!
  7. I have it on ps3, it's just I really prefer gaming on a pc. Even if it's the exact same game. I am still waiting for GTAV.
  8. I think i will go the R9 290 Route, seems like a good deal, but i already knew from reading reviews that my PSU is not the best one to have (if you are going to push it close to the max) Right now my system draws 280 Watts when running Furmark and Prime95 so its safe but with the 290 have a tdp of 275 compared to the 750 ti's 80 i am going to have to upgrade the PSU too. I am thinking if i can sell both the gpu and my old PSU then i could get a decent PSU (i am thinking EVGA 750 watt) and the 290 for 200 out of pocket cost. assuming i can sell the 750 and the psu for 150 total.
  9. Where are the raw video files that he said we could download to view in their true glory?
  10. I would like to know about RAM Timing 2-2-2-8, 16-16-16-20, etc. what does it mean? Thanks Linus!
  11. Hello everyone, this is my first post on here. I have watched the YouTube channle for a month or so now and finally decided to join the community in hopes of helping others as well as getting some help and advice. As well as maybe learning a few things. Ok, so i have a Core i5 4460, 8GB RAM, Intel 530 Series 240GB SSD, EVGA GTX 750ti on a 430 Watt Thermaltake PSU. I am happy with everything right now, it runs everything stupid fast since i added the SSD. The most demanding game i play right now is Battlefield 4 which i can play on Full Ultra @ 1080P, but it sits around 30-45 FPS. I will be getting CoW AW soon and love the eye candy and will want to play it on full ultra, so i was wondering what videocard would be a good investment (bang for the buck)? Or would it be worth upgrading it yet, should i wait for the next gen cards? I am a nVidia guy but would consider AMD if you can really justify it. Keep in mind that i would sell my current card, probably for 100-120 so you can count that off the price of the card. My budget would top out at 200-250. Thanks John
