  1. Linus just ROASTED my headset. I own a pair of the Sades SA-708s and mine aren't that bad. Great 360 degrees sound, great mic and very comfortable. But the wires did fray at the ends after a while (including near the controls) and the inline controls are admittedly shitty and in an annoying place. That being said, I actually bought a second pair of the same headphones after owning mine for 4 years and the ones that came were worse in every way, including mic, sound and build quality. Also the packaging was different. Which lead my to believe that these are licensed and mass produced by different manufactures and so quality varies.
  2. I currently don't have a GPU ? I am saving up to build my first PC and I've been looking at Polaris for my graphics solution. I think AMD cards offer the best value for money and I've been a big fan since I started reading about PC parts 3 years ago. I am greatful to AMD for thinking of us who cant afford to buy expensive graphics cards and offering affordable solutions! Thanks guys, good luck to all!
  3. I'm currently using a Corsair K95 Vengence that I got second hand. Unfortunatley the LEDs started dying one by one pretty much as soon as I got it It would be nice to have a fully working RGB clacker
  4. Thank you very much for this info, man! This will be a great help to me when I save up enough to build
  5. I've noticed those, yeah. They look great! I was hoping for some cheaper alternatives, but I would love that keyboard all the same. Does the board come with replacements for the red key caps on the W, A, S, D, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 keys though? I'd like them to all be black or whatever.
  6. Hey guys! I'm planning a build soon, and it turns out that the theme is going to be black and blue (total accident, lol). To go with this build, I'd like a mechanical keyboard, preferably with blue LED backlights. The only problem is that any blue LED keyboards I've seen online usually have Cherry MX blues, which is a deal breaker as I believe the noise from MX blues would drive my girlfriend nuts. Because of this, I'm looking for a Cherry MX red style mechanical key type - relatively quiet, light, and without a tactile bump (personal preference). Do any of you know any keyboards that would suit my needs? As far as style preferences go, I really like the look of both the Corsair K70 RGB (I would get that, but it's a bit expensive and I would most likely not use the all of the cool LED effects, so it'd be a bit of a waste) and the Cooler Master Quick Fire Ultimate (Perfect, except for the Cherry MX blues and lack of a wrist-rest. But I can live without the wrist rest). Thanks in advance for any replies.
  7. Sorry for some reason I thought that link was part of your signature and didn't think to click it! Thanks man, will look into the drives you suggested.
  8. It is for gaming, yes, but I also want a strong CPU. This build will do just fine at 1080p, I've seen the 280 max out BF4 and that suggests it'll last me for a while. I'd upgrade the 280 if my budget increased, but I doubt it will. I have a secondary build with an i3 4130 + R9 280 picked out if I can't afford this one, anyway.
  9. Thanks for the tip, the v300 was a new addition and to be honest I was going to consider changing it as I thought there was a reason it was so cheap. Would you mind telling me why everyone thinks it's so bad though?
  10. Hey guys, I'm planning this build soon, and I'm also planning on overclocking the CPU and maybe the GPU. I'm concerned about whether the PSU will have enough power to manage the overclocked build. I originally had a 500W PSU and was told to upgrade to 600W. I was then told to upgrade to a 650W. I don't know what to believe any more. What do you guys think? I'm planning on overclocking the CPU as much as my cooler will allow, and I may overclock the GPU aswell if the stock temps are low enough. Do I have enough power? 11. I'm looking for a Micro-ATX motherboard that will be compatible with the i5 4690K without the need for updating the BIOS or any of that jazz. I am currently looking at this one, but since I don't have a great knowledge of MoBo's I decided to seek the advice of the great people here. I require the following features from a MoBo Micro ATX size LGA1150 CPU socket At least 1 PCI-E slot (Not planning on SLI or Crossfire) Must have on-board USB 3.0 Headers Must support DDR3 RAM Everything else I am open to suggestion on. EDIT: I must also note that I am looking for the cheapest good motherboard with the above features. I do not have the money to buy a top-of-the-line Motherboard, even the one I have linked is a bit pricey. I was looking at the H81-M PLUS (£45~) but it is not natively compatible with the i5 4690K.
  12. I'm not that gone on modular tbh, also after looking more into the one I linked I decided no to go for it. Thanks for all your help!
