The four year old Ivy Bridge's, the i5 is also part of the Ivy Bridge series. I've gone to all lengths to verify VSync was off.

I'd go with MSI Afterburner, it's my favorite OCing program.

PCGamesBeLike got a reaction from babadoctor in Is a Dual Molex to 8-Pin connector an okay temporary fix to power a graphics card?
I would like to get a GTX 960, but if I ordered the PSU I want, it would take an extra ten days to get the PSU (I have a $127 Best Buy gift card from random trade in's).

Could I use my current 500W PSU that lacks 6 or 8 pin connectors, but use a Dual 4-pin Molex to 8-Pin connector as a temporary fix until I get my PSU? Is this suitable as a connector (since I only see 3 "male" pins, but I don't really understand that).

Yeah, I have two PC's right now that I need to add GPU's into.

I have my primary build right now (i5-2320, 8GB DDR3-1333, No GPU Yet), and I'd kind of like to start some gaming on it.

I also have another build I did (FX-4130, 4GB DDR3-1600, No GPU Yet), but I got the i5 build's parts for free (someone in the family didn't know I was doing a build already).

So, would a 750 just be fine for now, and then get a 750 Ti later and put the 750 in the FX build? The FX build's for when someone wants to play PC games with me.

    I would have to purchase a new PSU if I got a R9 270X, both PSU's I have don't have the 6-pin connectors needed.
