  1. Well thats what the company spec sheet says. So are you call out Audeze for bullshit? screen shot taken from spec sheet from Audeze https://www.audeze.com/products/lcd-collection/lcd-3
  2. im guessing they dont go very loud since your only putting 400mW (plus or minus 50mW) through a 15 Watt headphone.
  3. Well according to the spec sheets none of the amps are powerful enough to get to a third of the power rating of the headphones and the ragnorok is only just at half of the watts the headphone can take, but that max wattage is apparently 130dB so quite loud and probably will only need 5Watts to get to something sutiable, but then again headphones apparently dont matter and people give me shit for saying that it is powerful enough even though the manufacturers say it isnt, so hey ho.
  4. Virtual audio cable http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm Its a bit tricky to get working when you first start using it but for no money and no physical items needed it will do it perfectly well.
  5. probably not since it virtual surround and is being created by a program on the computer which i doubt the PS4 has.
  6. depends on wattage of the amplifier and how many watts your speaker can take, but wont matter as receivers have cheap amps in them most of the time. and to all the people before saying you cant add this or that, well you can. if i have a 4 ohm 100w amp and i plug my 2 ohm 200 watt speaker in it will be perfectly fine.
  7. If your going to buy a reviver there is no point buying the sound card since it wont do anything since your only sending digital audio signals to reviver to piss around with. And if you want to keep the sound card you can save money buy not buying a reviver and just getting powered speakers, unless you want to go a bit more high end and get a hellish system with independent amps for each speaker.
  8. describe a noise because when you say rattle it could just be a loose screw or a bit of plastic broken which is getting rattled.
  9. wow thats a dreadful manual, it even shows a 3 pin xlr but a 5 pin connector
  10. go read the manual and see what it says about the xlr cable and come back with what that says.
  11. Not many things like that as it would put so many people out of a job its almost a agreed thing not to make.
  12. More stuffz Dynaudio speaker line, "digital speakers" so they have a dac and amp built in so you plug a digital audio cable in. These are high end speakers costing over 400 per speaker for the low model and 600 each for the high end model so not cheap but should be nice speakers. dynaudio
  13. im not to sure what there going to sound like since there a week old, but once some reviews get put out it be interesting what people are saying.
  14. Retracting comment looked again and realised the steel series one is mic the other is headphones it will work fine.
  15. So currently in Germany there is a trade show Pro Light and Sound its mainly aimed at professionals but there are a few things which would fit into this forums range and Im going to post what I think may be interesting for you. AKG K872 Basicaly the KA12 but closed back Video Sennheiser MK4 Digital Just the MK4 microphone but now a USB version, maybe very popular for you guys as a high end microphone now with even more simplicity. Will probably cost in the 300 to 500 range Video (in german sorry cant find english) Zoom portable audio interface So they came out with two little portable audio interfaces not bad looking, seem like they are very sturdy. Zoom JBL EON One If you dont know EON is a JBL brand for small performance speakers and there new one is interesting, so if you have a small band pub size this maybe for you. Its a small low speaker with the mid and highs comming out of a collum speaker which is plugged in on the top, it has basic controlls such as gain on the back, its ment to be simple to use for a small garge band who wants to do a performance. Video EON Genelec has some speakers Personly first time hearing about this company but there your price range of speakers and may be suitable Genelec Pioneer DJ DM 40 little active monitor speakers, not too bad looking cant say much for audio as its new not much out there yet, but it could be a nice side of monitor desk speakers DJ DM 40 Thats most of the stuff I could find which I think its partially relevant to the forum and because it is a lighting show as well hes some videos of lighting from the event if you want something cool looking. Flashy Flashy PRG at it again with those white vans If your after more information on anything I recommend looking at the Sound on Sound magazine who have a good cover of the event. If you know of any other cool products which I have missed because theres fucking thousands at that place feel free to post them in the comments
  16. I would pick something personally from the Denon line I find most of there headphones are built like a house and I think for transport and moving you need good quality build to reduce chance of damage.
  17. Well not to sound like a dick about it but the speaker says 60 Watts so why not 60 Watts. (also capitalise your W its a name) Also that would need to be at 8 ohms. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=8+ohms+60+watts+amp
  18. I have a solid case for my headphones, but that sits in a pelican case with a load of other stuff like computers and tools. The headphones which I use with my main computer rig have a case and when moving my rig I put them in the case and move them but when not in use its in a cupboard. My little headphones I use with my phone get rammed in my pocket and are built well so take a beating.
  19. Dont know why i didnt think of that, could only think of things such as sending data to multiple speakers which isnt a good idea to do like that.
  20. The one male to two females is either a splitter so back in the day on the school bus me and my mate would plug both headphones into a single i pod. Or its a microphone headphone splitter for dual inputs like on most apple products and phones. The one meter jack to jack is just a jack cable, could use it to plug speakers in or other stuff pretty basic. I cant think of a use which is acceptable for two male to a single female all uses I could think of are bad to do as it affects impedances and other things.
  21. I am willing to bet a large wad of money the motherboard alone will be perfectly fine with the headphones (along as its not faulty).
  22. I feel like this doesn't belong in the audio section and more suited to the storage section. Nothing against OP or anything but last few months theres been a couple hard drive noises placed into audio section and I don't want to sound like I'm speaking for the hole of the audio forum but I don't think we know much about hard drives compared to the storage forum and I think this this belongs there just so you get better informative replays.
