Biography
I am a strange convergence of inquisitive, accident prone, and easily bored. If I'm giggling like a child, don't think, don't question, just run.
A few years ago I had a surreal moment of introspection where I realized that I was wearing flip-flops, boxer shorts, welding gear (jacket, gloves, mask), I had just used a blow torch to light a cigarette for a friend and no one present at this event was concerned/surprised/shocked/wondered where my pants were.
On a disturbing note I am seriously considering buying a LARGER blow torch...
I sometimes wonder if I am not actually very strange.

16 is stiffer and in my opinion long term makes better bends but is harder to train and you have to be a bit more careful when you crimp the connectors and it can be a bit harder to crimp 2 wires into the same terminal. also please follow your own thread. no. thicker wire = less resistance at the same current level

Its a 20% overclock on the memory not the core. Still nice.
-
yeah... thats sexy as hell. If only the GPU led was white...
-
1. do you have a post code (beep noise) when you try and power on 2. is the PSU power switch on 3. check the power/reset connectors 4. check to make sure the GPU/memory are seating in their sockets correctly (and are in the correct socket/slots) 5. make sure any drives you have are connected 6. make sure monitor is connected to the GPU output

^this. Personally I am thrilled that AMD has stepped up. More competition only means good things for consumers. I wish the Fury X beat up the 980 ti solidly instead of trading blows as this would really have pushed Nvidia but maybe with more mature drivers Nvidia will really feel the heat. Also @ZachtheMan please follow your own threads.
-
We wont really know for sure until we get benchmarks but so far it looks like the Fury X was targeted at the 980 (which it beats) therefor I would suspect that the Fury (non-X) will perform between the 970 and the 980. If your budget allows it look into two 970 in SLI, it beats a 980 for about the same price (USD).

Understand about the magnification, I have used them extensively. The way I look at it is simple, if you need the magnification, make the text a larger size, the gunnars can actually give you a headache if you use them and then take them off and look at other things (along with a slight sense of vertigo), further their cost does not justify their benefit (in my opinion). Basic shooting glasses with yellow lenses provide almost all of the same features and often are made to fit over prescription glasses as well and cost far less (10-30 usd on amazon).
-
In my opinion Gunnars aren't worth the money, if you want yellow lenses just buy a cheap pair off shooting glasses such as http://www.amazon.com/Remington-Shooting-Glasses-Amber-Black/dp/B000F7VV42

Saladin replied to Analog's topic in Cases and Mods
1. Get it sandblasted 2. heatgun and a a razorblade 3. scrub with steel wool and then sand -
if your not going to overclock dont bother to get the k series chip. get the locked chip and save money.
