    Whenever I install Ubuntu, I sooner or later get to the point where I need half an hour to get administrator rights on the console. 
    Then I type: "sudo apt get bla bla bla..." 
    Then something doesn't work, and I just delete the VM. 
     
    Oh, last time I installed Ubuntu, it didn't even have 1920x1080!!?!?! 
    Of course you can figure out why, or you can do something else... ;o)

    A few month ago, I bought a Doro 409s gsm as a gift and it is a great phone.
    I was almost considering to keep it myself. 
     
    - Build quality is nice
    - display is big enough
    - operation is so fast and easy, no swipe and tap BS, just the functions you need (calls + messages, no camera)
    - stadby time is almost a month (take that smartphone kiddos!) ;o)
     
    I would buy it again, and can really recommend a Doro for your gradpa.

    The Sidewinder X4 is a great choice.
    Backlit, good anti-ghosting (something between 11 to 26 key-rollover), lots of features, reasonable price.
