Weird writing issues with new 3 TB HDD
Blebekblebek replied to TheBeardyOne's topic in Storage Devices
refund it, and get 2 or 4TB one. 3TB drives is the highest failure rate for almost every brand. -

It doesn't matter, if it's working then it's working. I'm not sure why you so confused about the cooler, I mean the stock cooler is adequate, ok for stock speed, however since you are going for K version and going to edit with it, why not just get one? You don't have to get the extremely expensive one I mean I'm using the cheapest Deepcool Ice edge mini for my i7, while not the best for cooling but definitely far better than stock cooler, and it's only $10. http://www.deepcool.com/product/cpucooler/2014-05/7_869.shtml

Need some answers on refresh rate of TV
Blebekblebek replied to J.b091's topic in Home Theater Equipment
Monitor or screen doesn't use FPS as the indicator, it's Hertz (Hz), however in the end if your screen only maxed at 50Hz then you will only get 50 fps max no matter how high your input video is. 50/60Hz is quite common, usually it even has the menu to switch between the two. As for screen tearing try to use different media player. -
Best Price to Performance CPU
Blebekblebek replied to Zeorth's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Doesn't matter which one you prefer, if "cheaper" is what you looking for then you are going to spend more for DDR4 Ram anyway But technically, Ryzen is a better choice -

I think you didn't get any replacement They might be just pack it in new box and send it to you. Well, aside from that, keep asking for replacement until you get what you want.

I still don't recommend it if you are looking for durability, since it was meant to be always on, I think by turning it off and on constantly would make it wear faster.

It is never recommended to use NAS drive for desktop usage. The reasons mostly because it's slower and more expensive, if you can afford it go for it. I even use barracuda drive for nas I no longer buy WD drives since it's been debunked their drives difference only with the firmware I'm not saying I never had failures with seagate, but at this point any brand had same failure rate, specially with 3TB variant.

Mining recovering?!
Blebekblebek replied to Wh0_Am_1's topic in Folding@home, Boinc, and Coin Mining
All I read is bunch of excuses with no solution. So what are you proposing? Closing down this thread? Closing down entire sub-forum? or just out right banning entire mining discussion and live happily ever after? -
When people use water cooled AIO, SSD, and 14cm fan that spins at slow rpm, it will make fan in their PSU more noticeable since that's the only parts that spinning at 100% all the time assuming it was lower grade EVGA psu.

If you READ THE ARTICLE YOU would find out It was nvidia that holding back the chipset to AIB maker, they were even overstocking the GDDR5 memory as well. Does not buying means anything else? High end GPU sales were always slow it was until mining craze that makes it like it's common to purchased one, or rather in bulk. Obviously nvidia didn't expect to get this far, that statement to prioritize gamers are just PR speech, in the end they are expecting miners to buy it.

How well does the 750 Ti run in modern time?
Blebekblebek replied to jdlandi's topic in Graphics Cards
It's zotac, single fan, the cheapest I could find. I don't care about paying extra for unnecessary fans/boost.- 5 replies

How well does the 750 Ti run in modern time?
Blebekblebek replied to jdlandi's topic in Graphics Cards
It ran very well. Still had triple fps for most valve games Also I don't have any games that could makes it running with only single digit fps. But if there's any games that can do that for this card, I believe that just bad game in general.- 5 replies

How well does Guild Wars 2 Run with Ryzen CPU?
Blebekblebek replied to Denis_Twin's topic in PC Gaming
GW2 engine if it still behaves like before it's had more impact with higher ipc, and won't get benefit from extra cores. However with ryzen it has the IPC and higher clock based, so I don't see why it matters, I mean it should run better than older i5 k series which was the most recomended processor for this game since extra threads on i7 doesn't really help either.- 4 replies

Have We Gone Far Enough With Graphics For Now?
Blebekblebek replied to Max_Settings's topic in PC Gaming
Yes and no https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzerU6PVTV8 start listening at 1:50 minute, while it mainly aimed at ps4 but the point of graphic fidelity is very general to all platform. while I agree with most diminishing return of graphic but the development shouldn't stop, it should be scaled. Currently major companies tries to make a vector 3d model a standard, that way even the resolution scale up to infinity the asset will adjust it accordingly. The current flaw mainly for optimization or the lack of it since we have so much variation of hardware it's quite hard to accommodate all of it. -
Where have you been looking? Just search on google you'll get tons of results Dual CPU was brought to consumer hardware when multi core cpu wasn't a thing yet, since dual core is popular dual cpu isn't practical for home user, they just need a better processor with more cores rather than more cpu (altough that would work too), dual cpu has been always aimed for server market rather than regular home usage.

Suggest me an affordable printer with scanner
Blebekblebek replied to rukspuks's topic in Peripherals
There's no such thing as durability printer (inkjet anyway) that I know of. It's better to have a good scanner and cheap inkjet printer, it doesn't require service since the service cost it's almost the same as buying new, if it's broke just threw it away. I occasionally find a printer (either HP or cannon) for $20 on sale, it's good enough for 2-5 times refill before it broke down for unknown reason (I know the reason, the software tell me most of the time that the cartridge is empty while it's full)
