  1. The only thing I have to say to this is in simulation type games, racing games in particular, or flight sim, or whatever, it loves the extra cache, really what's not talked about enough is the 1% or .1% lows the spikes I had on my 3800X were way worse than on the 5800X3D, would be along the same lines with the 3600, as a drop in replacement if you have the gpu(6800 is toeing the line), I say go for it, if you are not cpu bound then this is not gonna help you much and you are better off looking at a gpu upgrade, but if playing at higher refresh rate then x3d for sure. In all honesty if you play sim style racing games you will see an uplift not necessarily in max frames(though some you will), but the game will feel 10x smoother imo, I play quite a few diff racing games F1 23- benefits alot Forza Motorsport- Alot AC - EHH ACC - alot Dirt Rally 1/2 - alot Iracing - alot Long story short x3d part will give you a lot of uplift in sim racing based games, in others it's about the same
  2. Honestly looking to buy used off of something like facebook marketplace might not be a bad play here, at least in my area quite a few folks dumping their rtx 30 series PCs for around that price point could possibly end up with more for your money, but the build above is great too would definitely reuse parts at 1k if buying new parts.
  3. Depending on the workload on the CPU, you could just get some thermal paste and reuse the h60, that should be fine cooling the 5700x for gaming workloads. I doubt you'd have any throttling issue provided the h60 is still running fine. Otherwise, I'd recommend the Deepcool Ak620 for air cooling, I'm not as up to date on the recent aio's so I don't want to speak prematurely on what to buy, but at least a 240mm if you are planning to get rid of the H60.
  4. Bought these earlier at Walmart, I just wanna make sure I’m not tripping…I can’t find this model anywhere on the internet or steel series website even, just the 7x no plus? Barcode on the box is stamped 04-2022 are these new new? More expensive than the 7x at $180
  5. Yes you could use the tv along with the monitor, just keep the tv off when not using it (my tv doesn't show up as a display until i turn it on then i can drag a window over to it). As far as your monitor question, if you like the AOC go with that you are able to enable freesync on an nvidia gpu and get basically the same effect the gsync module in the other one provides. To explain the gsync and freesync thing, freesync has usually a narrower range that it can function in(depends on the specific monitor), older gsync displays, and gsync ultimate displays use a module that works with your graphics card to widen that range of FPS. Where it gets tricky though is Nvidia's Gsync is now essentially freesync, but any with a gsync badge on it has been tested and validated to work as they want it to, but just about any new monitor that has freesync support can enable gsync in the nvidia control panel.
  6. I just recently picked up a Dell 27" 1440p with all those specs, however not ips albeit one of the best TN panels on the market, would recomend thus far, I'm running with a 6700k and 1070 and can push 1440 fairly well, you'd do a bit better obviously. Can enable G-Sync as well though not specifically listed as gsync compatible, they used to have a sku that had a gsync module in 2018 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N2L5CXO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  7. Depends, what games are you planning on playing and whats your monitor setup?
  8. Amd cards do freesync over hdmi thats probably the only difference now that nvidia card can enable it as well, however only over displayport. Check your monitor I/O if you only have hdmi ports maybe try amd otherwise its a matter of preference.
  9. Could also try to do mineral oil. As far as i understand if you were to have an airtight case the heat build up inside it would be large especially with mid to higher end specs. Even if you were able to get the heat away from your cpu and gpu there is no passive cooling for the VRMS or Mosfets and any other tiny components on the motherboard, also usually your power supply needs access to fresh air if would not like being in an increasingly hot airtight case. Not the most well versed in thermodynamics, but i wanted to weigh in anyway
  10. depending on the brand and condition anywhere from about $70-$100 as far as I've seen used
  11. The 1060 would be fine, nothing more though 480 might even be a bit much though given he's overclocked that 6300 a bit that potential bottleneck would start to disappear. Please please please with the new cpus around the corner dont let them spend money on a new fx 8350 used for a real good price maybe... is budget a constraint because they were originally talking about getting a 1070?
  12. I have the same combo, there is about another ram slots worth of space between the cooler and the first ram slot when installed. Can take a pic if you'd like. I figured picking out certain parts in your country would be a bit different than I'm accustomed to sorry passed out was late for me last night
  13. The Evga 650w gq gold that i have i think comes in cheaper i couldn't find it in op"s country on pcpartpicker though to link.
  14. I've got the same mobo that you've chosen and i can say confidently so far no complaints nice and stable all the features I'd ever need.
  15. I would like to recommend the cryorig h7 over the hyper 212 if its not too pricey where you are? Looks are better imo and improved thermals and the fan is not as loud.
