He is probably being polite as he knows Luke has been working hard with diet and exercise for a while now. I never offer unhealthy food to someone I know has been trying to keep a strict diet. HR is there to help employees with basic help. Like filing tax papers (like a W-4 for those in the US) or payroll issues. HR is there mostly to protect the company. At least in the US. I can't speak for Canadians. But all this back and forth going on about HR, you all don't know anything. Reading these posts, it's like reading stuff from kids and teens that have no adult experience, no real life work experience. HR will side with the company unless there is damning evidence like video with audio (good luck with that). I honestly don't buy what Madison is trying to sell. I've told people I work with, both peers and management, to either not talk to me in a disrespectful way or to not say whatever jokes they were saying around me. I did this in a respectful and adult way and they respected my words and stopped. And you know what? Our working relationship was just fine and sometimes was strengthened. Just be an adult. As for the sexual harassment, I don't want to dismiss her clams but I honestly believe she is misreading the situation or making something out of nothing. I work with a female coworker who has abused the systems we have in place at my work. She has clamed that people are sexually starring at her because they are facing in her direction. They have to because their work station faces that way. She has clamed sexual harassment because a supervisor confronted her about some legitimate issues about her work performance. She has pulled some BS work place injury to get out of work. She is mentally a mess because she can't handle the job and she doesn't have the mental fortitude to deal with it. Reading the Madison posts, she reminds me of this coworker of mine. People just need to be adults in the work place. Use your voice and stop expecting others to hold your hand like mommy and daddy. Honestly parents now a days fail so hard with their kids. A little tough love goes a long way. My 13 year old daughter refuses to order food when we go to a restaurant, she doesn't get food. Stop holding your kids hand through life. Anyway sorry for the rant. All you kids and teens posting here acting like you know best made me rant

He did the review and had it scheduled to go live at his normal time for his videos to go live. He probably doesn't keep up with youtube drama so he didn't bother holding off on the video.

Going to be honest, like someone has already pointed out. Your setup doesn't really have much room for speakers. I don't see where bookshelf speakers would fit and have good placement for sound quality. I don't even see a spot for a sound bar to fit. You were happy with the Logitech Z506? Maybe get the Logitech Z906? It's in the upper range of your price point and it will be familiar to what you already had. Normally I would recommend bookshelf speakers and a sub but your setup is too cramped

What conclusion did I come to? You are posting that tweet implying that the change she is pushing for is about sexual harassment. You have no clue what change she is pushing for. I just want to add. After you get it clean, try not to use other liquids in the water bottle. I've made it a habit to have a designated bottle just for water. Only filtered water goes in this bottle and it only gets hand washed. It will last a lot longer and the water will always taste fresh. Anyway that's just how I do it. I highly recommend it.

GN should have reached out about the Billet Labs situation. Something like that needs both side of the story. And if LMG didn't respond in a timely manner then yes publish the story without their side of it. But that the only thing GN should have reached out about. The other stuff is fair game.

This is a point that so many are missing. Obviously we don't have all the emails or contract (if there was one) but Billet Labs said they could keep it. If someone told me I could keep something, does that not make it mine? Did LTT not have ownership of the prototype at that point? And again, we don't have all the emails so we can't know for sure the full agreement between Billet Labs and LTT but this is getting overblown by so many. Not saying that LTT didn't make mistakes. Mistakes were made and communication wasn't good

They don't need to mention GN at all. GN isn't the topic. They don't need to apologize to GN, they don't need to give GN credit, they don't need to do anything for GN.

My god this forum should be locked for a week. So many new accounts fanning the fire. They made a video addressing the valid criticism that GN had and they apologized for the mistakes they have been making and they stated their plans moving forward. It was good. Now they have to show us that they can change and make things better. That takes time. Give it time people.

Hello, looking into getting a NAS and I'm thinking a Synology ds423+ is what I want. Just want to run it by all you first. I've been doing a ton of research and I've decided a DIY NAS is going to be too much work and time for me. Synology's software looks super simple and that's what I'm after. I'm looking at the 4-bay because of upgradeability. My uses are: 1. Video playback of my bluray/dvd collection. So far all 1080p but might start getting 4k. Not sure if I'm going to set up Plex. Right now I'm probably going to just play the files off my Shield TV Pro using Kodi. But I'm thinking about Plex 2. Personal Cloud for Photos. I want to use it like Google Photos and, Synology Photos looks like what I want. This part will have 2 users. My wife and I. 3. Use the NAS as my download folder. Can I do that? 4. Play my Flac files on my iPhone. Do I need Plex or something else to do that? 5. Back up all my other random files. Pretty basic needs I think and I like that the software looks super simple. I know going Synology has a price premium but for myself I think it's worth it. I just don't have the free time to go DIY. Will the ds423+ do all the stuff I want?

Get an external amp/dac. It will be miles better and you don't have to worry about audio when you upgrade your system. Please don't spend more $ on a motherboard because of the audio chipset. Depending on the components used it can still be trash. Schiit and Topping have good options. Also, audiophiles don't use onboard audio lol

I've never had a pair of headphones or headsets break. Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 - Been my daily driver for 11+ years now. Only had to replace ear pads Sennheiser PC 37x - been my gaming/phone call headset for 3 years now. Been used by my wife and myself. Still in like new condition. Sennheiser HD 58x - I've had for 2 years now. I use it for gaming and movies probably 2-4 hours a week. Still in like new condition HyperX Cloud Alpha - I've had for maybe 4 years now. I use this when traveling and kids used this during covid for online schooling. Still in like new condition. Buy quality products and don't abuse them and they last many years

Because you're using a Tv for a monitor I'm going to assume you're using HDMI to connect the PC to the Tv. I would use an optical cable from the Tv to the receiver. Just to make it simple

What receiver do you have? HDMI from pc to tv then HDMI from tv to receiver. If you can't do that then how about optical out from tv to the receiver? Or last option use stereo 1/8" to rca

I use a Schiit Fulla 3 and its amazing. A friend has the Fulla 4 and its been solid for him. For the price and for the headset you're using it will be an excellent choice. I also have the pc37x and it pairs nicely with my Fulla 3. I honestly don't recommend spending so much for the MayFlower products. Too much money for pairing it up with a pc37x. Tons of good options at the $80-$150 range. Have you tried your onboard audio yet?
