  1. If Gamer's Nexus had planned over time an exposure vid detailing the failings in LTT then Linus might have expected to be involved with this and be able to respond appropriately. However this was not the case,Steve was going about his business quite innocently,at LTX I believe when unbeknown to him his channel was called out by an LTT employee for poor practices, compared to LTT. This is not a journalistic issue but a personal attack for no apparent reason. I doubt Linus reached out to Steve before LTX to inform him that they were going to randomly 'slag off' his channel during guided tours to make LTT look good. So, a sudden attack, accidentally revealed in a random vid by an unknown deserves an equally sudden response, quid pro quo as we say.
  2. How many times has there not been a WAN show? This would have been a perfect forum to discuss these events and bought LTT viewers up to date. They will have to resume WAN show at some point and putting it off will only make things worse.
  3. Lesson 1 Making negative comments about another You Tuber is not an issue of any importance and never should be be. Making negative comments about another you Tuber ON CAMERA, during a guided tour of your facilities filmed by some random is definitely an issue. Therefore,No filming,No cameras during guided tours, ever! Lesson 2 When testing products you must always check and double check test results and recheck them again in edit. Expect someone to challenge your results regardless. When showing said results, take time to explain for each page both to show your conclusions and to let the viewer see them, don't flash up page after page from this game or that game containing complex results forcing viewers to pause content to properly examine your data. Lesson 3 If you agree to test a product, then do so with the same care and to the same standards as all other products. If it's clearly no good or really just a half baked prototype don't test it and say so by way of explanation. Lesson 4 If you are 'called out' because you stuff up, don't apologise on camera reading from a teleprompter. People will think your shallow and insincere and won't know whether it's your apology or some copywriter, or Chat GPT. Lesson 5 In this 'calling out', remember Oscar Wilde's advice, 'never apologise and never explain'. Sure your ramming out content like there's no tomorrow and sure standards have been slipping with dodgy reviews and shambolic on camera tests but you've identified these as problems and have been working to correct them which is why there's a new, completely separate testing lab with it's own dedicated staff outside mainstream content creation whose sole purpose is accurate careful testing and analysis. Sure some staff may have felt aggrieved and moved on but many people work at LMG and are content, happy and fulfilled are not having nervous breakdowns cutting their limbs open or having angst ridden reveals on X. Many of these employees are women apparently and this includes the Head of HR ,who is my wife and a women also. Lesson 6 Don't employ women if, your majority workforce is male and not expect a constant background of complaints and 'issues'. If you MUST employ women, isolate them in a women's section where they are PHYSICALLY SEPARATED from the men. These are traditionally called 'the typing pool' and 'the offices', 'accounts' or 'reception'. When interacting with a woman,as a male, try and ensure another woman is present as a chaperone. Fail to do this and you will join Fox News,Weinstein Media, etc etc. As you now know.

    Spam

Most of these spam emails lack unsubscribe,if they have unsubscribe it's always a dead link and in some cases a malware portal. The ones that have a physical address are invariably in some up for lease building in a CBD backstreet and phone numbers are never connected!

    Spam

I'm having a really difficult time with spam,in the last 2 weeks 118 spam e-mails have landed in my in-box. Everything from military grade torches to Tarts 'desperate for it', to hair loss cures, Bitcoin scams and magic glasses. I,m using Webmail from IINET in which there are no options for blocking individual sites. I,ve forwarded each spam to IINET 'abuse' dept and CICSO's ironport but nothing whatsoever has happened. Anybody got any suggestions for dealing with this?
  6. So what you guy's are saying is because the tracker could be found there's no point in trying to use one in the first place? Clearly you don't have children. Parent's don't stalk their children any more than 'spy' on them when their out playing. Chances of a paedophile having a GPS disruptor are zero in Australia and as you may all know in cases of child abduction it's the first hour that's critical in recovering the child alive if they've not been killed out of hand. No pervert having snatched a child is going to hang around searching the child and attracting attention, they usually flee with their victim to a more secluded place.Nor are they going to search for something mobile to drop a tracker on as a false trail, if they found one they would ditch it there and then. At the end of the day no technology is going to be perfect but we try to do the best we can especially when it comes to protecting our children.
  7. In our main park, Kings Park which is huge and right in the centre of Perth a kid was playing last week and a guy ran up ,grabbed him and ran off! The kid was screaming and the parents and others chased the guy who eventually dropped him and ran off into the bush. Had this guy succeeded in snatching this kid a tracker might have been the only way locate him. Once a kid is too big to be carried off and hopefully also has a bit of sense then probably a tracker would be going too far. The guy has not yet been arrested!
  8. 'Life will find a way'. Any place with water, reasonable temperatures and some; however bizarre scource of nutriment will promote the growth of life. When you set up the fluid lines for the 'water cooled project' 2 things needed to be done, 1) the tubes, reservoirs and pumps required sterilizing with a sterilising solution ie Sodium Metabasulphite or strong bleach etc before use. 2) the circulating fluid needed to be sterile and bacteriocidal. The reason engine coolant is'nt bacteriocidal is that engine coolants run at over 100c in a presssure system and kill anything, though this leads to serious corrosion issues hence the incluson of polyethylene glycol and other additives. No computer cooling system is ever going to reach a sufficiently high temperature to self sterilise. It would be interesting to get the slime identified. If there is any still to be found take it the nearest uni microbiology dept where it will no doubt cause much excitement. These guys will also be able to suggest ways to deal with it.
