  1. Ok so quick update to my problem; I finally got the Control Panel back after fixing the download error issue with my Microsoft Store. Took like 3 hours but it was worth it I guess. I'll post what I did that worked in case some people who encounter the same problem in the future run into this thread somehow. I went into services.msc to update the Windows Update Services to Manual setting (after a youtube tutorial showed me it'd fix the Microsoft Store), but found it wasn't there. So I checked regedit.msc for my wuauserv which is connected to these services (Computer > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Services > wuauserv) and realized it wasn't there either (I have no idea how it went missing; I might have done some random tinkering into these settings years ago to disable Windows Updates, who knows?). I downloaded a spare wuauserv registry file from here https://www.repairwin.com/windows-update-service-missing-problem-fix/ (scroll down to Method 4; I don't know how legit this was but it worked in the end so bear with me) and installed it (just double click the file and say yes to the prompt; if you check the Registry Editor directory it should be there). But Windows Update still wasn't in the services menu. To do that I had to go to Command Prompt (run as admin) and paste this command: sc create wuauserv DisplayName= "Windows Update" binpath= "C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs -p" Start= delayed-auto depend= RpcSs Refresh the Services menu and Windows Update should finally pop up. Right click ,go to Properties, and set it to Manual, then try to refresh the Microsoft Store. BAM. Nvidia Control Panel finally started downloading and I had it back in seconds. ----- That's the end of my first problem. I just ran into a second one however. Upon checking it, I realized the Control Panel was only showing 3D settings, and not the full customizable settings it regularly used to show before. Here is an Imgur album for reference https://imgur.com/a/ieUkOTJ. If anyone could offer advice as to how to fix this issue then, I'd be grateful. I think I've watched all yt videos offering solutions for this at this point and nothing's worked so far. Thanks so much.
  2. Wait what do you mean by DDU everything? Also would it make a difference if I disabled internet vs leaving it on? Thank you.
  3. I'm not exactly sure what happened. I messed around with an old-ish Samsung TV we had in the house that had an HDMI input. I plugged it to my laptop to watch a movie. The most I remember is setting Display settings to make the tv the primary display and choosing "only show display on screen 1" option. Throughout this the Nvidia Control Panel (easily accessible via right clicking desktop) was still present. Fast forward to when I wanted to remove the TV to game a little bit, I didn't know how to turn it off without a remote (apparently pressing or long pressing the power button didn't do it) so I just straight up took out the HDMI cable and unplugged it. It was when my display went back to my laptop screen that I realized the Nvidia Control Panel had gone missing. Here are steps I tried to do to get it back, and how they failed: - Disabled Intel iGPU Drivers = didn't really do anything except fuck up my display; quickly re-enabled - Uninstalled GPU drivers from Device Manager and reinstalled drivers via Nvidia website = GeForce Experience and everything seemed to be in order, but the control panel was still nowhere to be found; I tried to search for the Control Panel folder or at least the nvcplui.exe file in the Nvidia folder in C : and it wasn't there either... - Downloaded DDU and did a safe mode clean uninstall of all Nvidia Drivers, then reinstalling again via most updated drivers from Nvidia Website = Again, everything was in order except for the Control Panel still missing somehow... - Tried installing Nvidia Control Panel directly from Microsoft Store - can't do this for some reason as it gives me an Error every time I try to start downloading Can anyone offer help as to what else I could do? I really wanna be able to access the control panel again and be in full control of my display settings. Thanks in advanced. Specs are on my sig if needed. I run Windows 10 Home 64-bit.
  4. I mean like I'll just place the laptop somewhere on the side or somewhere other than my desk so I get the most real estate for my monitor, mouse, and keyboard. Ah, I thought this was a common brand in the US as well. Basically they're cheapo gaming monitors I found online that got pretty good reviews and are below $80.
  5. It's been uncomfortable for me to game while hunched over at a 17 inch screen. I don't have enough money to go for a completely new desktop build, so I was wondering if it would be okay to just buy an external monitor (and keyboard), plug 'em in to my laptop and just put said laptop on the side? I just want the desktop gaming experience is all. If this is possible then I have a couple follow-up questions: 1) Would my laptop be able to handle it? Brand, model, and specs are in my sig. 2) I'm looking for a monitor that won't hurt my wallet too much, and so far I've narrowed down my decision to either the NVision IP22V1 or the SpectrePro G22SL. Which one should I get? Or are there other options in the same price point (which is pretty much my budget)? Thanks guys.
  6. If it's just those two games, I say definitely (that's even overkill for CS:GO) but, you sure you don't have enough money to squeeze in an SSD somewhere could greatly improve your computing experience mate. What's your budget for this?
  7. I usually always expect videos/channels like this to not be on parr with others in its class solely because they contain boobs/have a good looking lady in the thumbnails. But maybe I'm just stereotyping these things. I'mma check it out.

I have given up PhysX. Someone please find me a…

Cool man! You should try HD5530. One of the best in the market right now.
  9. Damn I wish I had that R4 right now...
  10. I still don't think they could top the one where they did the Google Smell thing...that was flipping genius.
  11. If it's a triple core CPU, I'm not sure if a 4th core exists within it...
  12. Looks like there are a crap ton of hard rock lovers and metal heads here. Cool beans yo. Anyway, I'm still finding time to listen to all of these guys since my hectic schedule has gotten worse now (I'm graduating high school and my teachers decided to pile up almost a month's worth of work within a week...) Thanks again for the suggestions and stuff (also, I'm having a hard time letting the site know that I WANT to be notified when there are new posts on my thread...) PS: To those who ask what I mean by "lesser known", bands/musicians who are underrated/get very little to no radio time/don't fall in the mainstream/small or just medium amount of followers (but deserve way more). Basically, nearly all guys you've mentioned here (save for Tool, Nirvana, and Alice in Chains) I haven't heard of in ever, and I have to say...I really wish I did sooner. I'm loving the tracks!
  13. Alrighty bro whatever you say. I'm just hoping you're putting that saved money to good use.
  14. Will look into that when I get my own PC. Thanks mate (Still currently sharing the family PC because money. Mother might not like that I tinker with its bios.) Also, my speakers just recently broke and I'm just living off my Razer Krakens right now, and I can't sleep with them on so...yeah. In the future.
  15. *sarcastic voice* "I'm shocked..."
  16. Yet you still use their product? (At least I'm assuming you do...)
  17. Can it still fit properly and does it still get detected? If yes, then you'll be fine so long as you take care of it better.
  18. Oh crap, thanks for these guys! LTT being a douche right now and not giving me notifications about people answering my thread for a reason...dang it. Anyway, I'll try to find time to listen to each and every single one of these guys. I guess I know now for a fact that I'll be busy for a while. Thanks again
  19. I wish to ask how that would work though, since I'm not really the type who leaves his PC on 24/7...
  20. Currently own a RaZer Kraken headset. It was the only one available at the time that cost below Php 3000 (~$67) and my budget was tight. It's been with me for more than 2 months now and I haven't had any real complaints with them. Bass is super powerful. Love it. Also I realized later that my cousin picked up a pair of Sennheiser HD 180s (which are way cheaper), and when I took 'em for a spin, I had to crank the volume up to the 90s(!) to get audible sound. Though I must say Sennheiser really loves to even out the sounds and make it feel natural. That's what I liked about them. Also, to be honest, I just wanted a headset since my speakers were dying out and I needed audio for Counter Strike...it works for me brah...
  21. Yeah...definitely better than Tom's Hardware.

  22. Title is pretty much self-explanatory. I've been looking around for some lesser known bands/musicians out there since the world just seems to be revolving around guys like Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, etc. I know this world has a lot more to offer and the media isn't giving them the attention they deserve. I want the people to share anyone/any people they know that make good music but aren't heard of too much (since partly, I am just not that good in searching ). Maybe also give me at least one song from them that I can listen to that I might like (I'm not specific to any genre, just hit me with whatever you got.) Also, if I don't attend to this thread right away, it's because I'm busy listening to songs Thanks in advance - Someone hungry for some nice music
  23. I'm pretty sure it's pronounced "solder"
  24. When playing Counter Strike casually I tend to just let my fingers do all the work. (I find it easier to AWP that way), but if I get in the zone it's all floating elbow and moving shoulders. The adrenaline helps a lot. Other than that, keeping my wrist glued to the desk and just my hand wiggling around is perfectly comfortable for me during regular use.
