  1. If your OK with using the full $4k I would up the SSD @Amazingasian suggests to 500GB and change to an all in one CPU cooler. I'm in Australia and getting that CPU heat out of the case helps if your not running AC all the time. Would help to have a few good case fans and fans for the CPU cooler .
  2. If you can find that little bit more money you can get into a 970: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/T8NtVn
  3. Would be interested to see how the build goes, keep us updated.
  4. With $1000US I would add in an SSD (Samsung 850EVO 250GB maybe) for your boot drive and games, will help with load time. The Intel option will give you an upgrade path but if your dead set on AMD I would wait for the new chipset and get the upgrade path that way. Up to you mate, can only let you know what I think and I'm open about being an Intel man.
  5. F1 2016, bring it on!

  6. I would agree with trying to get into i5 if you can for the newer platform (USB3.1 Type C). From the parts you have listed I'm thinking around a $850US build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gqDhnQ Would suggest getting a lower watt PSU and a 1TB drive if your dead set on AMD. I would suggest this as an i5 option for about $950: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2kCgD3 Could take the PSU down to the 550W to save a little more and still get a second 970 for SLI later. In both options would think of getting an SSD, once you go SSD you will never go back.
  7. Razer Imperator for 4yr but have a Mionix 8200 on the way
  8. $6299.00 Love the Australian price https://www.umart.com.au/umart1/pro/Products-details.phtml?id=10&id2=160&bid=2&sid=233111
  9. I would upgrade to 240GB just to give you some head room. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-internal-hard-drive-cssdf240gbls
  10. I agree the extra SSD space is a good idea and from what I read the less you fill of the SSD the longer it lasts. Also great for your common games as they have the same fast load times you get with windows on the SSD. I have windows 7 and 4 games plus a few files saved on my SSD and that's taking up 130GB.
  11. I agree with others on going for a 1TB HDD and a large SSD if your going to install some of the new games out. I seem to need a bigger/faster harddrive before anything else but then again I'm not a hardcore gamer. Have you looked at Asus VE248H Black 24" 2ms Full HD, seems like a good deal for a 24" and a little bit bigger to game on unless you really want the media add-on that one comes with - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236102&cm_re=ASUS_24%27%27_Monitor-_-24-236-102-_-Product Know cost might be an issue but I like Noctua fans, NF-F12's for the CPU cooler. Think about what your really going to use the MB for, will you use all the things that board offers or can you save there and spend on something else like a better SSD.
