  1. I imagine it would be very difficult to downgrade your firmware if its already updated you may just have to wait for samsung to release new firmware with a fix or go through the same return process the reddit poster went through even though there would be no guarantee you would get a replacement with the older firmware.
  2. Brave works just fine with youtube for me, what version are you running? Expanding on that, I haven't had any issues with any websites while running Brave.
  3. I have the LG 27GL850 and love it, great monitor IMO.
  4. Yeah thanks for the advice, i might have to wait, currently have a 144hz and not sure i could go down to 100.
  5. Looking to get rid of my current three 24 inch monitor setup and thinking of going for an ultrawide, looking at 34 inch with 3440x1440 and atleast 120hz refresh rate. What options are around? Looking at going down the korean monitor route via ebay. Budget is around $1000
  6. Fair enough, will have to look into it a bit more i think
  7. https://www.tecmint.com/rsync-local-remote-file-synchronization-commands/ Does this information not apply or am i not understanding correctly?
  8. I think at this stage i'm happy to execute it manually.
  9. Ryzen launch was exciting but i feel like Vega is going to underwhelm, Nvidia is still going to have a clear edge IMO.
  10. @ChalkChalkson Yeah stumbled upon this thread while researching rsync, i currently have about 10TB worth of data on an unraid server and thinking about setting up a cold backup on another server that i only turn on every now and again because unfortunately i have suffered a severe failure in the past where i lost about 70% of my data so dont want that to happen again!
  11. I find that to be one of the biggest problems with 144hz, alot of games just don't run that fast all the time because of optimisation and not graphics power.
  12. That's the simple answer but if he is just receiving and there's a strong signal it will probably 'work'.
  13. I'm not an expert but a TV antenna is usually a 'yagi' style and will be tuned to receive at a certain frequency (from my understanding they don't transmit efficiently). I'm not sure what country you are in but you would normally need a licence to transmit on HAM radio bands and in the process of obtaining the licence you learn about alot of these things. If you just want to receive the TV antenna will get you started but i would look into getting the correct COAX plug for your radio and wiring it up correctly.
  14. From my interpretation they are going to supply there own cabling to houses within the town just like that company in New Zealand that had a similar competition. https://myrepublic.net/au/gigaspeed/
  15. Has there been any local feedback about the performance of MyRepublic? They seem too offer a really good service.
