    This is a shameless plug for a couple friends from my school's Robotic's Club that made their own micro controller based on the 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 and launched a Kick Starter for it. Feel free to do with it what you will. http://kck.st/179lCiF Something I forgot to mention in the initial post, this board can run multiple threads because of its processor. They mention this in the initial video on the Kickstarter, but also in the "The Claaaw" video lower down on the page it is running a buzzer, motors, servos, current and voltage monitoring and checking if it's being programmed all simultaneously with no problems.
