  1. I'm not really into IEM's so no but just know that higher end cables only yield sonic improvements on paper. You're not going to hear a difference. Though they can for sure be of better quality build wise. Are there no cables that you liked on the page I linked ?
  2. We've got someone who can count I'm on my guard now! Yeah I never said he didn't recommend any of those. I assumed Slickrr saw a Z video because he mentioned the 1540 pads at all. Again, I never said it wasn't I just implied that you could get similar quality for far less money (look up the word 'overrated') Slickrr never said he was going to mod them, merely 'do some tinkering' which might just mean he'll stick to pad swapping for now.
  3. Chances are that he did and didn't want to get milked
  4. Hey there I was just reading through this thread and I saw what you said there. Lemme just say that, although I never owned an AKG (curious as to the sound of the K712 pro though), the build quality on Beyerdynamic headphones in general is considered to be about the most sturdy the industry has to offer. Having DT990's and Custom Studio's I can attest to that. These things are absolute tanks. So don't go with looks. I've watched alot of reviews of the K712 and heard alot of reviewers complain that they're almost completely made out of (brittle) plastic ?
  5. My point is that there are no decent portable bluetooth speakers in terms of soundquality ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Originally but you should know how many people are beginning to use them for their Amplifiers and DAC's, Bookshelf speakers and even headphones (given that there is a 3.5 port) which is making me reeally happy.
  6. Exactly, which is why bluetooth speakers have the leeway to be utter crap. Manufacturers know they can get away with it because their functionality and ease of use fill a very specific 'need' in the market.
  7. Hmmm I wonder, what's the battery life on an average bluetooth speaker ? From my quick and dirty research it looks to me like even one of these receivers can match most bluetooth speakers in battery life. talk about convenience ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
  8. > I do plan on getting the Shure 1540 pads if I go with the T50. That means you've been watching Z reviews. Let me give you a few tips if you'd get the T50 rp MkIII. The closer your ears are to the drivers the more impact your planar bass will have (assuming you have a good seal) I have tried the Shure 1840 pads and they're no slouch but they still keep your ears at a medium distance from the driver. Try the pads for the Superlux HD600 instead, they're not uncomfortable and they keep the ear alot closer. If you want you can also get the Aliexpress knockoff version which is of the same quality, diameter but with a larger earhole. The V-moda cables are overrated, for the T50 just go with a 3.5 mm right angle connector and a cheap braided cable like the Meiyi, you can get it in any length you want. I cannot comment on the Beyerdynamic DT 770 250 Ohm as I only ever briefly heard it. I do however own the DT 990 (250 Ohm) and the Beyerdynamic Custom Studio. And the fixed coiled cable on the DT990 will be the death of me, it latches onto everything it weighs a ton, you could beat someone to death with it. Love the cans but hate the cable. The Beyerdynamic Custom Studio's though, I can't recommend them enough. I love their sound signature (bass ports fully open). And you can replace the cable with any regular 3.5 mm aux cable you want to. I've heard from other people that the Custom Studio's (again with the bass ports fully open) are very similar to the DT770's, and should you ever want a headphone for studio use .. just close the bass ports a bit more.
  9. Don't bother with nuforce. Give these a look.
  10. I honestly never cared for bluetooth speakers. Their main selling port is ... well bluetooth and nothing else. Just know that you can make anything with an AUX in bluetooth compatible with one of these
  11. Even as a kid I prefered Runescape over club pinguin >.< still R.I.P. I guess it was the choice for many amongst us for blowing their lifespans on.
  12. I'm missing solve things? Can you please speak in complete sentences? And no, line-out uses less to thesame amount of power as a regular 3.5 mm out. I have a Fiio X1 which has built in line-out.
  13. Yeah the Sansa will keep converting the Digital to Analog. So what do you think...go with the (more expensive) specified LOD adapters or any 30 pin to line-out converter?
  14. Because, as I said twice now, I want to use it with an amplifier. Having a line-out from the mp3 player to the amplifier yields advantages like not amplifying the white noise and savings on battery life (due to, again, not using the internal amplification).
